We have not heard from Rays sister and father since last night. They evacuated. My nephew stayed at the house, we heard that the water reached the curb of the house but haven't heard anything more. We can not get ahold of Michael now ( Read more... )

I must say that this storm has me very concerned and worried for my family and many friends that I have in NJ. They are saying that landfall is going to be somewhere around Barnaget, NJ, about 15 to 20 miles south of where I grew up and raised my kids. I am so proud of myself. We found a used electric lift recliner for mom. We looked online and the same chair brand new is around 1400.00 dollars. I paid 150.00 for it. It works great. She can get in and out of it with no problems. We also put down a down payment on a couch and loveseat that mom will be able to sit in also in the front room. We ( Read more... )

In a little over a month, on September 20th, we will be leaving for New Jersey. We are driving. I'm going to get to see my 3 grandsons, and my son and his wife. So I'm sitting here reading, minding my own business, and all of a sudden I hear the dog whining. Nothing new she is a puppy she whines a lot, but I looked up anyway. She is standing in front of her crate/cage. She will go in there to sleep off and on during the day.
