Today we met with the neurologist as a follow-up.  We were expecting some firm results from the MRI and EEG, but we didn't get them.  The hospital was delayed at getting the EEG readings to him, so he hasn't been able to to formally interpret it.  We talked about the MRI results instead.  The Children's Hospital we were at is a teaching hospital, ( Read more... )

After much complaining that I am not getting enough sleep, that I always get up with the baby and let Chris sleep, that I stay up with the baby while Chris gets to nap, and that I'm falling asleep while standing at work, I finally was allowed to take a nap today.

...only to be poked awake 15 minutes later and told "no seepy!"

*sigh*

Wow!  I haven't posted in a long time!  I keep telling myself I will, but I've got to make it really interesting with pictures and everything because I don't have a lot else to say!  My digital camera is full and I haven't had the time (or energy) to clear it out to my computer.  So no pictures yet.

I am so proud of this gown.  I started knitting it the week I found out I was pregnant.  Our families have two very distinct traditions surrounding baptisms that I wanted to carry on to my children.  Chris' family has a gown that 3 generations have worn for their ceremonies, and each child in my family wears something handmade for our ceremonies.  ( Read more... )

Chris broke my hand (not intentionally), but I waited too long to go to the doctor for them to do anything easy about it.  I couldn't decide if it was just very badly bruised or worse, but they say it is most definitely broken.  It's already started healing, and they'd have to rebreak it to set it straight.  Do I even bother ( Read more... )

Did you know that you can reuse those disposable baby wipes?

Benjamin now wears cloth diapers during the day at home.  We've used up the majority of disposable diapers that were gifted to us, and were getting ready to buy another pack, but he had a diaper rash that wouldn't heal up.  I thought maybe we should get him into the cloth diapers sooner ( Read more... )

Ummmm...nevermind...  Benjamin is going through a growth spurt.  That would explain the screaming bloody murder for no apparent reason (growth spurts hurt!!!), the fussiness, and the rediculous changes in his sleep schedule.  And the fact that he has now outgrown pretty much all of his 0-3 month clothes.  I think the Gerber brand runs small, Child ( Read more... )
