    It's strange how many people think the world's tallest building is still the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which stand at 452m. It isn't: since as long ago as 2004 the world's tallest building has been Taipei 101 in Taiwan, standing at 509m.     Today seems like a day to celebrate a world of wonders. Not only do we have the Large Hadron Collider taking us back to the first nanoseconds of the universe, but the current tallest man-made structure in the world on 10 September now stands at 688m, and still has 130m to go. Plenty more stunning photos from there, here.
