So I finally caught up with this week's CSI ep on comcast's on demand service - Elizabeth Shue's CSI debut. I was not terribly impressed. But she only interacted with Russell and Greg this ep, so I guess I'll reserve judgment until I see how she integrates with the entire cast.

About the Doc Robbins marriage stuff and the tangled roots of the murder case in question I care not one whit. But the stuff with Greg and the middle aged genealogy lady? Oy, with the anvils already! Such a headache they're giving me.

OTOH, if that last shot means we're really going all Dark Phoenix on the happy little CSI family, can we get the smack put down on Sara Sidle plz? Because no matter how hard I wish her to the verdammt cornfield, she keeps. coming. back.

So, I've spent the evening watching a marathon of CSI reruns on SpikeTV - the one with porphyric Alicia Coppola, the one with a skydiving headless gorilla, and the one with the Strip Strangler.

What strikes me is how bright the labs are, compared to the current season. Where the heck did this show's lighting budget go?

OK, I've watched this week's CSI (Vegas) twice now, and I'm disturbed by the last scene. Not in the oogedy-boogedy way I think they intended; by the implications. If they are going in the direction it seems to imply, then they're wasting their talent.
