I'm thinking the changing weather has pulled a doozy on me. I spent most of yesterday evening feeling a little run down and eventually my throat started hurting a bit. Well the sore ear did turn out to be an ear infection. Poor Gavin, first he had H1N1 and now an ear infection. Strange thing was there was no fever with the ear infection, just the pain. He's on amoxicillin for the infection and children's motrin for the pain and/or any fever ( Read more... )

Gavin has finished his first week of school. He seems to be enjoying it and only gave us one morning (Thursday) of "I don't want to go to school". His attitude did an expected 180 when we got there though. He seems to be making friends quickly and tends to look for certain ones when we get there in the morning ( Read more... )

Gavin's doctor's appointment went really well. He's closer to the 40% on weight (30.6 lbs) and still hanging out at the 3-4% on height (39 inches even). He's only missing one shot (a polio) that can easily be caught up when he gets his next round of shots just before he starts school ( Read more... )

I've noticed lately that I've been slouching more and more lately. I worry about it leading to a condition called dowager's hump. So I'm looking for ways to correct this before it becomes a reality. No more aches, chills or feeling feverish. I do still have a little bit of a throat tickle, but I can deal with that.
