This is an EXCELLENT book.  I'm actually thinking of buying it even though 80% isn't applicable to me.

It details the sneaky ways companies add charges to your bills and is nicely divided into sections so you can read only the bits applicable to you.   I listened to it, so couldn't skip the unapplicable parts, but I still learned lots of very good ( Read more... )

I haven't finished it yet,  but I will.  Somehow.   This book is filled with an agonizing amount of detail about boring bell-ringing.  If I was reading it, I probably wouldn't notice because I'd be skipping huge swaths of unnecessary inanity about bells and descriptions of churches.    I haven't noticed this in her other books.

This is a collection of Peter Wimsey short stories.   I am not a fan of short stories, but these worked amazingly well and I enjoyed them.    This was read by Ian Carmichael, who did a good job.  Unfortunately, I kept visualizing Carmichael, and he is sooo NOT my idea of Wimsey.

Recommended.

I listened to this book, and even though I liked the reader (probably because I'm a total sucker for accents) I think I would have liked this book more if I'd read it. I've read another YA book by Nancy Springer and found it pleasant,but not remarkable (I think it was Rowan Hood).  But I thought I'd give her another try with this book, which is the first in what sounds like a cool series.

I finished listening to the last two books in Isaacs Asimov's Foundation trilogy,   Foundation and Empire and Second Foundation.  I enjoyed them and recommend them although I did see some largish plot holes.   But I went along for the ride, helped by the fact that Scott Brick is a terrific audio reader.
