Wow, life has been nothing short of busy lately. I'm hoping to catch up on some updates and post pics. Tuesday I'm planning on going down to Graham's to watch the election results on the computer and download a bunch of pics. Tonight it is supposed to freeze so Erin and I picked onions, beets, dill, squash, cantaloupe, peppers, and the tomatoes off a few plants. The rest of the tomatoes we covered with a tarp which should protect them enough for the night. I chopped up and froze the green pepper and then canned the beets. Felt good to get that done. I decided to do a kitchen tip for Tammysrecipes.com Kitchen Tip TuesdayI've been canning beets and the recipe I have calls for pickling spice to be wrapped in cheesecloth and then added to the vinegar/sugar brine.
