Well since Saturday turned out to be really cold and un-motivating I decided to run on Sunday. What originally was only supposed to be 5-6 miles quickly turned into 8 because I was feeling pretty good. Looking for a change of pace, I moved my run to the air force base instead of the normal neighborhood run. Maybe that had something to do with it.
Total running time was half of a half marathon (6.55 miles) the other 1.50 miles comes from warm up and cool down. I ended up having a clif bar about 30-45 minutes before heading out so I didn't take any gu's nor did I take my camelbak. Although I will say the clif bar did not sit well with the stomach around mile 4. Thank goodness for clean port o potties.
My heart rate continues to improve so obviously I need to start working on my speed. I get really torn, because I don't know what is appropriate pushing myself for endurance runs versus running out of steam before I have hit my mileage. I shall have to experiment.
Because I ran/walked 2 days in a row, I am taking today easy. That means tomorrow will be walk/run and weights but the weather is looking great so it shouldn't be a problem!
Warm up- 1.03 miles
