The Lear's Macaw has been downgraded from "Critically Endangered" to "Endangered" on the IUCN Red List as a result of conservation efforts. These efforts included establishing a reserve for it and the licurí palm that is its main food source, and expanding and renovating the reserve and its guard station to help prevent illegal trapping ( Read more... )
