Summary: The boys are all in high school, like everybody else's experience, they belong to different cliques, but when their lives intertwined, their lives changed and made high school unforgettable.

"Don't you think you're a little late? Festival's in 2 weeks and graduation's in two months. You have like, 6 weeks or so to stay here." Jin asks as he walks side by side with Rui.
"6 weeks is a record if I reach the end of this semester." Rui laughs, and Jin kind of reminds him of Yuuto, a little.
"You do move a lot."
"Just in high school. Mostly this year. My father's job takes him places, much to my dismay."
"How about your mom?" Jin asks out of curiosity. Rui looks at him apprehensively. "Mom and dad are divorced. Mom's got a new family now..."
"Oh, sorry! I wouldn't have asked if I had known!" Jin apologizes and bows repeatedly. Rui giggles, "Don't be! If we're gonna be friends, we're gonna have to know a little about each other."
"Wow, moving on already?"
"Tora!"
Jin looks up to see Tora smirking at him with Saga on the side, "What's that?"
"Barely hours ago, you're agonizing over Yuuto and now you're with someone..." Tora looks at Rui from head to toe, "someone literally new."
"Please, ignore him. I'm not really a part of the welcoming committee nor is there one, but I'm Saga. I'm a senior here. So is this guy, he's the Basketball team's captain, Tora."
"Hi. I'm Rui. I didn't know the people here are so nice."
"You're looking at the meanest bully right now."
"Are you a freshman?" Tora asks, ignoring Jin's remark, Rui shakes his head 'no' in reply. The tallest smirks, "You're in luck."
"What do you mean?"
"He only bullies freshmen." Saga smiles, Rui giggles. "I'm lucky then."
They're between introductions when Rui catches something with his eyes, "Manabu-kun?!"
"R-Rui-san?" Manabu can't hide his surprise especially when Rui hugs him tight, "I missed you! You haven't been returning my calls, were you ignoring me on purpose?"
"You know each other?" Jin asks, Tora smacks his head, "It's obvious, dork."
"Manabu's my..." Before Rui can finish he's been pushed off by the smaller boy, staring at the other guy walking near them.
"WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOU!?" Tora asks and then all eyes go to Kazuki with Uruha in tow. The bruised younger boy doesn't answer and instead just looks at Manabu then to Rui then back again. "You're... You're disgusting." He mumbles then walks away from the small crowd. Uruha shakes his head then looks at Manabu, "What happened between you two?" But the shortest boy in the group stays silent and doesn't respond.
"What happened to him?" Saga asks, breaking the silence and honestly curious too about the bruises on Kazuki's face.
"He got on a fist fight with the twins." Uruha tells them briefly then looks at Manabu again, "Anything we have to know?"
"It's... Nothing. Me and Kazuki are nothing." Manabu runs away, leaving the others stunned.
"Are you new here?" Uruha turns to Rui who nods. "I'm Uruha. I'm the student body president. I'm sorry I can't show you around, I have to make sure Kazuki goes to the music room without any more fights. Excuse me." Uruha then walks faster to catch up with Kazuki.
"You're Manabu's what?" Jin asks, Saga's eyes narrow in curiosity. Tora just scratches his head, waiting for an answer.
"I am... Was his bestfriend back in middle school." Rui smiles, rather sadly though. "Was, because even before we graduated, he kind of hid himself. Stupid rumors. Stupid asshole Tohya."
"Saga! I have been searching far and wide for you!" A voice is heard from the hallways and it makes Tora's hair stand.
"Weirdo bestfriend incoming. I'm gonna split." Tora tells Saga before running away from the small crowd.
Saga facepalms and excuses himself from Jin and Rui as he walks to meet Shou halfway. The two younger boys continue the 'tour' of the school.
"What now, Shou?"
"I thought it would cross your mind to help me with decorations, because I thought that 'hey, Saga's my best friend, and he loves me and he'll aid me while I beautify the school', oh but no!" Shou pouts and tries to give his angry dog eyes at Saga, "Where were you? Our brunch ended half an hour ago! You should have followed me immediately after!"
Saga scratches his head, he's not a good liar so he must prepare for Shou's outburst after what he tells him, "I was with Tora."
Shou screams so loud, clutching his chest and acts like he's having a heart attack, "You're... With... Tora - bastard? Oh my god. Oh my god!!!"
"We're just friends. Friends hang out. Come on, let's beautify this place." Saga smiles, Shou pouts. "Saga..."
"Hmn?"
"I asked you before, I must ask you again. Do you feel affection towards Tora?"
Saga bows, "M... Maybe? I dunno. I really can't answer you, Shou."
"Why can't you? I knew it the moment I felt affection towards Hiroto." Shou smiles, genuinely.
"You hate him, Shou. You should be pushing me and telling me I shouldn't even dare think I like him."
Shou stops walking and looks at his bestfriend, "I don't dislike him, my dear. I am not quite sure I trust him. I would prefer to be in-between."
Saga raises an eyebrow, "In-between?"
"I don't have to like him, I don't have to dislike him, just in case things between the both of you don't work out."
"But you already know that I'm going out on a date with him on Sunday."
"Then we must shop!"

"You mentioned a Tohya. Who's he?" Jin asks as he and Rui walks around campus.
"He was Manabu's ex boyfriend. He didn't tell you anything?" Rui asks, Jin shakes his head.
"I don't want to be the one to tell you things if that's so. If Manabu has kept it a secret then there must be a reason behind it."
They pass by the music room and they hear a loud commotion inside, "Stop it! Both of you!"
Jin rushes inside and sees Reita and Hiroto in between Kazuki and Kai. Uruha just yells telling both of them to stop.
"Damn it, both of you! Stop!" Reita screams, trying to pry away Kazuki from the drummer. Jin helps Hiroto to calm Kai.
And then a hard slap echoes the room and they find Aoi in front of a stunned Kazuki. "Stop being a kid. Don't take it all out on your cousin." The guitarist faces Kai, "And you, you're supposed to be better than this."
Kazuki screams, and wiggles his way out of Reita's grasp, he cries out of anger and frustration. "Damn it! Why... Why of all people to make me feel this way has to be someone so... So... Disgusting!?"
"You're talking about Manabu?" Rui chimes in, Kazuki looks at his direction.
"You're the guy hugging him earlier." Kazuki speaks, not taking his eyes away from Rui who nods as a reply.
"You're just like him. Definitely like him." Rui tells Kazuki. The angry boy walks towards Rui, "Like who?"
Rui doesn't show any fear, he's confident and stands still as Kazuki approaches. "Like his asshole ex-boyfriend who ruined his life."
"Ex-boyfriend?" Kazuki is calmer, waiting for Rui to answer but the other boy's phone rings and excuses himself. A few minutes later he faces Kazuki again, "Yes. His evil ex-boyfriend. Excuse me, my father's outside. Jin, thanks for showing me around. I'll see you." And then he runs off.
"Jin, who is he?" Kazuki asks, wiping his face with the back of his hand.
The shorter boy scratches an imaginary itch on the back of his head, "Rui. He just arrived today. He said he's a transfer student and that he was... Uh..."
Kazuki grabs Jin's collar, Reita runs to grab him but the taller won't let go, "HE'S WHAT?!"
"He was Manabu's bestfriend!"
Kazuki immediately releases Jin and runs outside, Kai tries to run after him but Aoi grabs him, "Let him go."
"Aoi, I'm his cousin, I need to be there for him!" Kai tries to release himself from his bestfriend, Uruha walks up to him - smiling, "Your cousin will be fine. He won't hit Rui."
All eyes look at Uruha, the president shrugs, "I'll follow him, Kai. You need to relax." Uruha turns and leaves the room to follow Kazuki.
"Was that really your brother?!" Reita asks Hiroto, the youngest shrugs, "I have no idea!"

Saga's phone rings while he and Shou are putting up banners on the windows by the hallways. "Hello?"
Shou looks at Saga then checks his phone that vibrates, signalling an incoming text message.
"Really?! Well, I'll see you there." Saga hangs up the phone then looks at Shou, "That was..."
"Tora, am I correct?" Saga nods shyly, "Pon just sent me shocking message. I am guessing the content of my message is alike with what Tora has told you. Shall we go?"
When the bestfriends arrive at the music room, most of them are already gathered, except for Yuuto (who's absent again), Manabu, Kazuki and Uruha.
"Wow, a meeting?" Saga asks then takes a seat next to Tora. He and Shou notices Aoi and Reita finally nursing Kai's bruises.
"Whatever happened to you?! Pon! You never told me about a brawl! You only mentioned about Kazuki's outbursts!"
"I didn't want to scare you! You panic at the sight of blood!"
"I do not! I helped you before, remember? That's how our love started!" Shou bursts out, Hiroto blushes at the declaration.
"Yo, alien. This isn't about you." Tora cuts in then looks at Kai, "What happened? You're not really known to lose your temper so this is something new.
Kai opts to stay quiet as the other seniors fix him up, Hiroto speaks for him.
"I really don't know the whole story behind Kazuki's troubles, but I do know Kazuki marched in here and landed a punch on Kai-sempai."
"That's lame." Tora comments, Saga hits him. "That's not lame. You don't just punch your friend, moreso your cousin."
Kai sighs when he's done, "You guys wouldn't understand."
"Tell us, at least. We might just do." Reita tells Kai, Aoi just stays silent. Even if they're bestfriends, he doesn't meddle with Kai's personal affairs unless the jolly drummer tells him first.
"Kazuki used to be in brawls after he's been orphaned. We looked after him but I became his big brother figure. When we were younger he'd come all beaten up so badly that I told him if he's frustrated, as in really, really frustrated, we'll fight it out. It better be with me than some other kids, I told him to just walk away from fights and pour all his anger on me. At least, I will fight back, and I know for sure he'll hold back a little, just so little to keep me alive. He respects and loves me a lot to really fight with all his strength..."
Nobody speaks, Kai continues, "See? I told you, you wouldn't understand."
"No. Actually I get it." Aoi tells his bestfriend, "it's for Kazuki's well-being after all."

Kazuki finds Rui in the garden, but not with his father, but with Manabu. He steps closer, careful enough to not be heard. He hides behind a tree to hear them a little.
"You're still gonna keep it in there? In your frail little body? Manabu... You have to live your life out there."
"Please, Rui. If you care about me, you won't tell anybody about my past."
"That guy likes you, Manabu. He deserves to know the truth."
Kazuki's heart skips a little, 'that guy' is obviously him.
"You saw him, right? He's just like him. Popular, playboy... Nothing will change and I'll end up living life in middle school again." Manabu's voice is breaking, Rui shakes his shoulders, "What if this time there's something different? What if this time, this guy really cares?"
"Rui, I can't risk it."
"Manabu, tell him the truth. If you don't want anybody else to know, at least let him!"
"I can't! It'll be just like everything with Tohya again!" Manabu cries, Rui hugs him. As Kazuki witnesses the shorter boy's weakness, his heart breaks. He isn't the only who's hurt, Manabu's been hurting all his high school days because of this 'Tohya' bastard. He steps away from the tree and he's on his way to apologize and comfort Manabu when he's pulled by the wrist away from the scene.
"You've heard enough for now."
"Uruha?"
"You didn't hear me there, did you?"
"You're the master of stealth after all." Kazuki plops on the bench away from Manabu and Rui, Uruha sits beside him, "Do you... Wanna talk about it?" Uruha starts, Kazuki looks at him with narrow eyes, "Where's our president?! This is a human with a heart and not the tin man!"
Uruha rolls his eyes, "You're taking after Tora a lot."
"You won't understand... I like him."
Uruha nods, Kazuki acts surprised, "You're not gonna go 'heard that before' or 'you're just adding him on your list' or 'you're just gonna play with him, leave him alone!'?" The president shakes his head, "I admit that I've judged you, not that I was wrong but spending some time with all of you kind of makes me know more about you, about everyone - that maybe, you really like Manabu and not just you, there's Tora who might change for Saga, and Jin who's hopelessly in love with Yuuto. Everyone's interesting right now."
"Your brother and his boyfriend's the most interesting."
"That... I have to get myself used to. I love Hiroto, he just hates me a lot."
Kazuki sighs, "I need to get this together... I really like him, and I'm a jerk..."
"Yes you are."
Kazuki glares at Uruha, "I'm a jerk for calling him disgusting... I immediately judged him."
"There are three sides of every story, Kazuki. From the time I spent as president I realized this. In Manabu's case, there's his side that he refuses to tell, the side that Byou and Ruki knew from the people who saw and watched Manabu and then there's Tohya's side."
"You've heard that much already?!"
"I am Uruha after all."
Kazuki stands from the bench, "I need to find those two."
"Look, Kazuki. I'm letting go of the commotion in the hallway, and inside the music room with Kai but if you do one more thing with the twins again, you're going to detention." Uruha warns him, Kazuki grins.
"We're just gonna talk."

Author's Notes: And then i realized that after all these years, i knew that the main pairings will be Kazuki/Manabu and Tora/Saga. Sorry guys *scratches head* so right now, im focusing on Kazuki and Manabu, but not to worry, i wont be neglecting the other pairs. i placed them here for a reason. ^_^

Kazuki's heart skips a little, 'that guy' is obviously him.
"You saw him, right? He's just like him. Popular, playboy... Nothing will change and I'll end up living life in middle school again." Manabu's voice is breaking, Rui shakes his shoulders, "What if this time there's something different? What if this time, this guy really cares?"
"Rui, I can't risk it."
"Manabu, tell him the truth. If you don't want anybody else to know, at least let him!"
"I can't! It'll be just like everything with Tohya again!" Manabu cries, Rui hugs him. As Kazuki witnesses the shorter boy's weakness, his heart breaks. He isn't the only who's hurt, Manabu's been hurting all his high school days because of this 'Tohya' bastard. He steps away from the tree and he's on his way to apologize and comfort Manabu when he's pulled by the wrist away from the scene.
"You've heard enough for now."
"Uruha?"
"You didn't hear me there, did you?"
"You're the master of stealth after all." Kazuki plops on the bench away from Manabu and Rui, Uruha sits beside him, "Do you... Wanna talk about it?" Uruha starts, Kazuki looks at him with narrow eyes, "Where's our president?! This is a human with a heart and not the tin man!"
Uruha rolls his eyes, "You're taking after Tora a lot."
"You won't understand... I like him."
Uruha nods, Kazuki acts surprised, "You're not gonna go 'heard that before' or 'you're just adding him on your list' or 'you're just gonna play with him, leave him alone!'?" The president shakes his head, "I admit that I've judged you, not that I was wrong but spending some time with all of you kind of makes me know more about you, about everyone - that maybe, you really like Manabu and not just you, there's Tora who might change for Saga, and Jin who's hopelessly in love with Yuuto. Everyone's interesting right now."
"Your brother and his boyfriend's the most interesting."
"That... I have to get myself used to. I love Hiroto, he just hates me a lot."
Kazuki sighs, "I need to get this together... I really like him, and I'm a jerk..."
"Yes you are."
Kazuki glares at Uruha, "I'm a jerk for calling him disgusting... I immediately judged him."
"There are three sides of every story, Kazuki. From the time I spent as president I realized this. In Manabu's case, there's his side that he refuses to tell, the side that Byou and Ruki knew from the people who saw and watched Manabu and then there's Tohya's side."
"You've heard that much already?!"
"I am Uruha after all."
Kazuki stands from the bench, "I need to find those two."
"Look, Kazuki. I'm letting go of the commotion in the hallway, and inside the music room with Kai but if you do one more thing with the twins again, you're going to detention." Uruha warns him, Kazuki grins.
"We're just gonna talk."

Author's Notes: And then i realized that after all these years, i knew that the main pairings will be Kazuki/Manabu and Tora/Saga. Sorry guys *scratches head* so right now, im focusing on Kazuki and Manabu, but not to worry, i wont be neglecting the other pairs. i placed them here for a reason. ^_^
