Hi there. First of all, can I ask how long you've been here and how much you've been informed about the situation with the outsiders living in the dead zone, and even the existence of the dead zone itself?

[God, Rin. So direct.]

The twenty sixth marked two months since my arrival. I confess, little has been told to me directly on those matters, though I have spent no small amount of time reading what has been written of them in the journals. [So she's got the basics, at least.]

[well this is a business proposition! she'll be nicer, Galadriel. :c]

Mmm. But you know that there's a population of hostile former residents of the castle, living out in the dead zone? They're not friendly to us, and in fact they've stolen items from castle residents before - important ones - which is really what this is all about.

A turtle! I bet it's a turtle.

- woah. [A little pause, but there's a smile in her voice.] That's right. You got it faster than I expected...

[ a giggle ]

To be honest, I think it's because I heard one really similar to it before. Something about an animal that can carry its home on its back...

Oh! Should I filter that? In case anyone else wants to guess?

Hmm, maybe you should! I have some other riddles too, if you want them - but then anyone who looks could have a bit of a challenge.

I'm Rin, by the way.

A... mouse hole?

And hello! I'm fine, thank you. How are you doing, Rin?

Ehehe. Not quite...! A mousehole could go somewhere big.

I'm not doing so bad, I guess. [a small sigh.] I was just putting some things together.

But a human can't fit in there... Unless they had the power to shrink! Do you think someone has that power?

What things?

I bet around here, some people probably has the power to shrink. Besides, a mouse hole could fit other mice...

Well, I'm arranging some things with friends, and writing letters, and thinking about the outsiders.

[ at first, she wonders why she can see this. but then again, what she can do IS sort of telepathic, isn't it? she considers for a little while, and then writes neatly and carefully: ]

Hello.

[ replies will be slow, because she'll be trying to be neat and not-childish, and she'll also be looking everything up in a dictionary because she can't spell her way out of a paper bag lol ]

[bawww Nudge ;w; said kindly, as she doesn't recognize this handwriting, so maybe the person is a little shy?]

Hello there. I'm looking for people who can lend me a hand with something.

[c:]

First of all, just to make this easier: have you had the entire situation we're living in explained to you clearly? The castle, the dead zone, the hostiles living out there...

A hobo?

No, wait, a dwarf.

No, wait, an average American family.

What makes the American families so specially unfortunate?

I would say the mortgage crisis caused by the collapse in the subprime market.
