vocal health ramblings & a quick road trip
In my quest to figure out what is wrong with me, I visited an ENT (ear, nose & throat doctor) yesterday. After some discussion and examination, the doctor couldn't make a precise diagnosis. However, he seems to think that my throat problem may have to do with some swelling (or in his words "ballooning") of laryngeal tissue near my voicebox. [He ( Read more... ) -
QU's new website
My undergrad alma mater recently unveiled a new "look" for its website. This is LONG overdue...and it looks quite handsome/pretty...too bad the university's current status cannot parallel the handsome/pretty.

Saying goodbye...
This weekend had its ups and downs. Most of the downs were due to a nasty cold I've suffered since Halloween. I spent a good portion of the weekend in Quincy, Illinois for a wedding (my theatre professor's daughter's wedding, to be precise).

Halloween was nothing special this year. Had plenty of candy and cookies while at work, so that satisfied the sugar-needy 6-year-old in me. The high point, however, was Union Avenue Opera's low-tech high-art production of Benjamin Britten's Turn of the Screw.
