TOUR 2007 OKINAWA (September 29th, 18:00)
So I ended up going to 7 prefectures and 13 shows in total. To think that the boys did 40 more prefectures and 100 (exactly!) more shows, it’s quite impressive. I still remember the first time they announced this tour during the first show of the second day at Osaka Dome in February. At first I thought I misheard it, but they indeed were going to go around 47 prefectures. Looking at the crazy schedule in August, I was really concerned about their health but kudos to them… they really pulled off an amazing feat!!
I flew in from Kobe to Okinawa on the day of my last concert of the tour. I met up with my two friends who flew in from Tokyo, and we first went to our hotel to drop our things off. Smartly enough, all three of us left our glue sticks (which come in handy to fix up uchiwas) at the hotel. Way to go, us!!
We walked to the bus terminal to try and catch a bus, but a taxi guy persuaded us into taking the taxi to the venue. He promised us and told the driver (lady) that they’d only charge us 2,000 yen. The lady was a chatty person who told me a lot about the history of Okinawa. It was interesting, but very long, haha. I wouldn’t have felt sleepy had I not woken up so early in the morning to catch my 7:30 flight!
We got to the venue at around 10:30. The goods didn’t open til 15:00, but there already was a line. Crazy people! We wanted to eat something but the only food place in the venue opened at 11 so we walked around the area a bit, glancing at the “Tropical Beach” right behind the venue.
We went in the restaurant at 11 but it only served drinks… they didn’t serve meals until 11:30. Open up at 11:30, then!! Geez. I had an Okinawa drink (one of the few Okinawa things I did during this short trip) and it was pretty good. We all had pasta and walked over to the end of the goods line (or “tail end” haha) at around 12:30. Still very early, mind you. We were lucky because we were in the shade until the line started moving. It started to rain and stupid me left my umbrella in the hotel. Did I not learn anything from Kagoshima?? Haha.
They started selling the goods an hour earlier than the scheduled time, which was quite nice. They handed us sign-up sheets for the live photo sets and an order number that went with it. I had #314, which was one of the earlier ones. We were lucky because we were able to get our sets before we got into the arena for the show. Most people waited forever and still weren’t able to get theirs! One of my friends had #1500-something and she waited after the show and made the staff promise to mail it to her. Haha.
Anyway, about the show! This wasn’t an arena but it was a “special” stage that was like a mixture of the hall shows and the arena shows. It only had one main stage but had walkways around the arena (floor) seats. My seat was exactly to the side of the main stage. The lights were in the way and we had such a bad angle that we weren’t able to see the stage from the front at all; we didn’t see any action unless they came a little to the front of the stage. But, we were able to see a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff and the boys made their ways back stage using the stairs that faced us, so that was kinda nice. Hina, Shota and Maru looked a lot to our way too so that was nice!
Opening - No bikes this time so they appeared from both sides like they did in the hall shows. It was Hina, Shota and Yoko on one side and the rest on the other. They took the moving carts and met up in the middle, posed for a bit, then switched carts and walked back to the main stage for the opener. The guys were super hyper right from the start and I could kinda see that a few boys (ahem, Shota, Subaru, Ryo) were VERY tanned.
Zukkoke Otokomichi - This was by far the most sexual ZOM that I’ve ever seen, lol. Well, during this song, I’m only watching Shota (forgive me, please) so most of the “sexual” action involves him. During Subaru’s solo, Ohkura and Shota are doing their usual boon boons. From my angle it was hard to see, but Ohkura was rolling his hips and thrusting into Shota’s mouth. According to a few reports I’ve read of the 30th, Shota had his hands around Ohkura’s hips and Ohkura had his hand behind Shota’s head to keep his face at his crotch as he gently swayed back and forth. Haha. Subaru was even worse (surpriiiiiise). It was as if to say “I’m better than you, Ohkura!” There was no skirt-in this time, but instead, he kept on rubbing his crotch into Shota’s face. Shota was gasping for air and pulled back, but Subaru pulled his face back up and kept on thrusting. His hips were moving so quickly, too! After Subaru was satisfied enough, he let Shota go. Shota, Subaru and Ohkura were all smiling so much after the entire harassing (Shota was clearly enjoying it all). …I have absolutely no clue what the other four were doing, haha. Sorry.
Kanfuu Fighting - They walked around the surrounding stage during this song. As Ohkura and Shota met up at the back, they were moving their crotches toward each other and Ohkura was more aggressive. I don’t know what kind of crack Ohkura had before the show, but he was beyond crazy throughout the evening!!
Sukiyanen Osaka - Subaru screamed “Naha!!!” as they started the song. Naha is Okinawa’s capital city, by the way. Ohkura and Shota were smiling at each other here as well. Hina and Shota did the usual weird dance until Yoko told Shota to say the greetings. Shota said Hi while Hina and Ohkura started touching his crotch and ass. Ohkura was very touchy! The random things Subaru and Ryo said this time were “Mensore (“welcome” in the Okinawa dialect)”, “Ide Rakkyo (a comedian),” etc. At the end of the song, Shota blew a big kiss TO ME (10 people around my area probably thought the same thing but I will conveniently choose to believe that that kiss was for me, LOL).
Greetings - Ohkura’s greeting was unorganized as usual (haha) so the crowd started laughing. He said “Why are you laughing?!” and we were all like “Because you’re weird!” or maybe that was just me. My GOD Shota was DARK. His blonde hair made him look even darker than he probably was. At first I thought it was a joke and that he had been wearing something on his face. But no joke, it really was a tan. Apparently he and Subaru were in Okinawa from the 21st all the way to the 30th or whenever they left, having two complete days off and working on the other days. During one of their days off, the two rented an open-car and went to the aquarium and stuff. One of the people I know from elementary school told me that she saw the two on their date watching the dolphin show! How lucky! Anyway, Shota asked us all to raise our hands if we knew we were going to have a good time. Needless to say, we all did.
I don’t remember what exactly Maru said, but he showed us the four shiisas (lion-shaped ornaments of Okinawa) on the stage. Hina did the usual greeting and HE IGNORED MY SECTION AGAIN. I don’t even know how many consecutive shows I’ve been ignored now, haha. There were quite a few guys, too. One really stood out but I’ll mention him later.
Subaru’s was quite long. He first started off saying “Hi, I’m Matsuzaki Shigeru.” Matsuzaki Shigeru is a celebrity known for his extremely dark skin. If any of you watched that special program that aired in December of 2005 (Choice? Was it called? Chance? Same channel as the then-called Suka-J.), the boys went out on town to look for people that had darker skin that Matsuzaki Shigeru. If I remember correctly, they weren’t able to find any! Haha. Anyway, Subaru went on to say “I’m not an Okinawa native. I’m also not a scuba diving instructor, nor am I Thai. Not Golf nor Mike. I warn you there are a few songs that the lights will go down on. You probably will not be able to see me, except probably for my teeth.”
I don’t remember what exactly Yoko said but he said something about how this show was going to be a special version and that K8 is going to go crazy. He also said that we (the fans) wouldn’t want to go against them because they could be scary! Ryo’s was… uhh, I forgot, sorry! I was paying more attention to Subaru and Maru doing janken to decide who was going to do the scat this time. I liked my seat because Subaru usually faced this way and I can easily see his facial expression (facing Shota, most of the time).
Explosion - Ohkura said “Okinawa” and I heard Ryo saying “Excuse me” again. My friend said she heard “Explosion” and she’s American, so I should be trusting her but I swear I keep on hearing “Excuse me!!”
Misetekure - Shota prepared his guitar right in front of us. Overall, my seat was totally on Shota’s side which was extremely nice; I got to see many back-stage Shota things <3 The fire they used for this song was extremely hot. I felt it even from my seat. It was like those Back Draft attractions at Universal Studios. Subaru sang “Okinawa no yoru mo.”
Eden - Subaru and Ryo finally kissed for real! They’ve been pretending in the last few shows, and Ryo mentioned in a magazine that he’s ready to kiss for real in Okinawa… and they really did! Unfortunately the camera was horrible and didn’t catch it on screen, but I was paying attention to them and I heard the two guitars making a sound (=the two were very close to each other) and the fans that did get to see went crazy. The two had the widest grins after that and they both looked extremely embarrassed, haha. Shota came out to the front for his guitar solo as usual, but my GOD was he dark!!! Ryo and Maru played in front of Ohkura during his solo. I was wondering if they’d do all solos in Okinawa, but Ryo put his guitar down… which means…
Chiisana Koi no Uta - Subaru BAND! Shota had his usual awesome guitar solo while Subaru got ready. They played a song that was unfamiliar to my ears so at first I thought it was their new song. But, it was a cover of Mongol800’s song. I was in the U.S. when this song came out so I had no clue how the song went. Mongol800 is a band from Okinawa so it was nice of them to play this here. This must have been the song they were rehearsing for while we waited for the goods. The four of them were hyper as they played this song. Subaru changed the lyrics a bit toward the end and said “I want this song to be heard to the Eighters!”
Wonder Boy - Yoko came out topless. He was wearing jeans and had a water bottle with him. He spitted out water, threw the bottle in the crowd, etc. I was too busy laughing at my friend who was in total shock (she’s a Yoko fan; I bet all Yoko fans were going nuts throughout this song). I just couldn’t believe our luck. I’m a Shota fan, and my two friends are Yoko and Maru fans. We had a 50/50 chance of getting either the solos we wanted or the other half, and sure enough we got the solos we wanted! Yay!
Watashi Kagami - Shota came out from my side strumming on his guitar as always as he sat down on the chair in the middle of the stage. Then, he said “You know, this is the last time (that he’d be playing this song during this tour)… can you all sing along with me?” We all sang together and Shota looked SO HAPPY and SO TANNED (did I mention how dark he was already or no?). He said “I’m so happy to be able to meet you all” at the end. It was a very heart-warming atmosphere. After the song, he walked back-stage and through the crack, I could see Shota changing into the Blue uniform!
Eight Ranger - During the theme song, Black slipped and fell to the ground because of the water he spilled earlier during his solo. Orange was laughing hysterically at it. Green kissed Orange’s cheek while Blue tried to join in on the action and had his lips sticking out the whole time. While that was going on, Black apparently went down to the crowd and hugged a random girl, but I didn’t see that at all.
It was another special version where they shuffled the roles up. While I enjoy these shuffles, they tend to be very languid because most of them have no clue what they have to say or do. Anyway, Black started off saying that Yellow had someone he likes. So, Ryo was forced to do Blue’s role.
Confessions were Green and Orange. Because the speakers were facing the other way from where I was seated, most of the things they said were muffled and I couldn’t really comprehend them. I guess Green said something about “You know, at work, I usually am hitting something (drums)… but during my private time, I don’t really hit anything… (takes out a drum stick) Will you let me hit you?” The other Rangers booed and were all like “What in the world are you saying!?”
Orange went to one side of the stage (our side) and said “If I win this race, I want to tell you something really important.” He got on his marks and started running toward the center… then slipped just where Black had earlier during the theme song and kept on “Zukkoke-ing.” He said “The guy next to me jumped the gun…” and started over… only to Zukkoke again, haha. He went on to say “Well, I lost, but…” the others went “Haha you lost?!” Orange continued and said “I like you” or something like that, but apparently the girl already had a boyfriend and he’s like “Oh no!” and zukkoked again. It had a nice punch-line so the other Rangers high-fived him.
After they sent Yellow off to go talk to the girl, the others gathered to discuss who was going to do what. At one point, Red had his legs in the air while Blue and Orange (I think?) held him up. Green kept on fooling around with the siisas on the stage. Black kept on asking “Red, did you do Blue? Red, did you do Blue?” At first he was asking if Red has done Blue’s role before, but the others kept on telling him Yellow was doing Blue already. Black kept on saying “Red, did you do Blue?” and this time it was more like “do” as in… you know, “do,” lol. Red had his arm around Blue’s shoulder during this time. Green was fooling around with the camera so the others got irritated and Black ended up saying “Green, why don’t you just do the role of unko (=poop)!!” Green put both of his hands above his head to form a triangle as he said “Unko!” …so classy, eh? Haha. Anyway, after a long discussion, Yoko was going to do Red; Subaru as Orange, Maru as Nasu, Hina as Black, Shota as Green (a role that no one wants because it’s so boring, lol) and Ohkura as Yellow. Blue and Green were often in their own little worlds doing something together but it was hard to see everything from my seat.
Green was crazy during this whole skit. He was acting all bad-assed because apparently, Yellow is a bad-ass character according to Green. Red had his chin out most of the time because that’s what Orange is like. He kept on saying Amaaas, Nanbanda, Sannanda etc. that Maru usually says, haha. Orange just kept on saying “Nandeyanen” because that is the easiest way to do Nasu. Nasu surprisingly didn’t know where to go and what to say, so Black was like “Nasu, you’re supposed to be the one that knows what’s going on!” Blue was lying on the stairs and being lazy in general because that’s what Green is all about, haha. Black was bent low and was jumping around like a crazy little ossan, just like Red.
The mannequin told Yellow to do something funny and he asked her if he could do something cute. Black in the background said “No” and Blue said “Haha, the ‘mannequin’ talked…” Yellow’s ippatsugei was saying “Hop! Step! Tesou” showing his palm. ‘Tesou’ is the lines of the palm. The atmosphere in the arena froze for a moment because it was so not funny… lol. Poor Yellow. Nasu or Black was like “Wow, (the atmosphere freezing like this) hasn’t happened much since our days in Shochikuza!” The mannequin said “Funny, funny” in a monotone voice and Yellow’s like “…thanks…”
Nasu saw the girl with another guy (Hamanaka Bunnichi this time) and said “How should I tell this to Yellow without hurting his feelings… doron” as he doroned out, haha. The “next morning” when they all met up, Orange congratulated Yellow for his confession going well. Red imitated the “Hop Step Tesou” and Yellow said “How does he know that thing I did yesterday that was totally not funny…” Nasu told Yellow that he likes him and he wants him to break up with the girl. At first, Yellow said “I like you too,” but as Nasu kept on telling him to break up with her, Yellow got pissed and said “What, you busaiku (=ugly)!!!” and left. Yellow by the way kept on asking the staff members where he was supposed to go next.
Green came out to the front in bad-ass mode and said “Yo Nasu! Oi, NASUBI! What the hell was that, eh!??! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!” and punched Nasu. Red, with his chin sticking out, told Green that Nasu really likes Yellow but kept on fooling around imitating Orange. Green left, Red left, and then Black and Orange were on stage (Blue was in the back because he was ‘lazy Green’) and Black out of nowhere started to sing “You are my shelter” and “Aishiteru Aishitenai” as Orange danced to those songs. Orange told Black “Black, you know what to do… right?” Black said “Of course… I have to go chase… Yellow… right?” Haha. They were not sure. Black left, and there was only Orange and Blue (Yamada!) left on stage. Orange mumbled “Why is it that the two of us are left… it must be a twist of fate!” and ran to Blue. They did nasshu fuuun a few times before Shota suddenly took his boot off and said “Somehow, I am barefoot (not wearing socks) under these boots.” …WTF?? LOL.
Yellow came out to say “Nasu that busaiku… I can’t believe he did this to me… What the hell!” Nasu on the other hand was on his hands and knees and asking the Junior to please give Yellow and the girl a chance. He kept on overreacting to the punches thrown at him. Red came out saying “Chotto! Chotto chotto!” (the twin comedian The Touch’s catch phrase) and got punched as well. Nasu and Red checked to see if they were alright and they each saw blood coming out of their mouths. Nasu asked “Red, you’re bleeding too…” Red said “…oh, no, this is ketchup.” Nasu goes “WIPE IT BEFORE YOU COME OUT.” Haha. Nasu asked how Red knew that he was there and Red paused a bit because he didn’t know who it was that was supposed to be doing Yellow’s role. The crowd yelled “GREEN!” and Red continued to say “It seems like what Green had said was true. Come out here, Green!” as Green came out from between the curtains. He was being this cool dude again and apparently, cool & bad-assed = hip hop to Green, so he was really weird. He was supposed to walk toward Red and Nasu but didn’t until later, so Nasu hurried him over. Red did the “Ohhhh this is so irritating!! JIRETTAI!!!” as he brought the two over for a handshake.
On the other hand, Black sang Subaru’s song. They did the stretch thing but didn’t put their faces close together right after it. Yellow was all for it but Black was too busy concentrating on the song, so Yellow had a sad face on, haha. Black was being shy about the song the whole time. What are the chances of us being able to see Black singing both Blue (in Osaka) and Red’s songs!? He started off well but wasn’t at his best toward the end, haha. He had Yellow sing with him for a little bit. Nasu was waving to the two from the bottom of the stage while Red and Blue were touching each other.
Nasu and Yellow hugged and made up. Then they saw the girl with the guy again and Green went “HEEYYYY LOOK AT THAT! THAT BITCH IS WITH THE GUY AGAIN” in bad-ass mode once again, haha. Yellow walked up to the girl and started talking but was cut off by the Junior who said “Oi!” Yellow said “Hai…” lol. The staff members were holding on to this string thing that was tied to the thing that the mannequin was standing on. Oh the things that they do for these boys! Haha. Black and Red were doing the “That bitch!!” struggling thing in the background.
Yellow couldn’t hit the girl and he went down on his hands and knees and stuck his ass up as Nasu fit nicely in between his legs and butt. While they all were telling Yellow that he made the best decision as to not hit the girl, Red kept on harassing the mannequin. He first looked under her skirt and kept on touching her thighs, back, etc. I had a clear view of all that because I was looking at it from the back, and geez Subaru you are nasty! Blue tried to stop him a couple of times but gave up in the end. In the meantime, crazy Green slapped Yellow for real in the face, haha. Poor Ryo!
Blue told the girl “Don’t think guys are this easy.” He was the only one taking his role seriously and the crowd said Kyaaaa when he said this line (one of the only highlights throughout the skit for Green’s role… hence no one wants to do this role, haha). Yellow told the girl to be happy and she said “You too!” and Orange, who was rather quiet, totally SMASHED the girl by jump-kicking on both feet!!! HAHA it was the most hilarious thing ever!!! I was quite shocked but amused because it happened right in front of me. Orange totally owned it. The wig and the shirt were messed up and her one arm was totally ripped off. Haha, poor mannequin. Poor staff members having to retrieve that thing back stage!
Yellow said he doesn’t know if he could trust girls anymore, but Blue told him that there were many trustworthy girls out there (in the crowd). Nasu, almost forgetting his line, said “Where??” and as Red whispered his next line to him, said “I can’t trust Japanese people (with an accent)” and Black said “well, most of them are Japanese” so we yelled “But we’re Americans!!!” I feel like they’ve said this in almost all the shows I went to where I was sitting with an American friend.
Red went up to the higher stage and started his speech. He kept on repeating the word “sangeki (=tragedy)” as he did in a few other shows before. Anyway, they finally started singing Energy.
Energy - Because we’ve been to enough shows to know what was going to happen next, my focus was directly behind my seat even though Shota was on the main stage singing the song. The moving cart started from right where we were and we were the first row from the cart. Judging from how each member left the stage (leaving Ohkura, Shota and Maru who had to sing Energy), we were quite sure that Yoko was going to come to our area. My friend was getting excited by every second. Finally Yoko came out and he stood there throughout most of the first part of Obachan Rock.
Obachan Rock - Usually I don’t watch Yoko during this song, but since he was like right there, I did… and realized he really doesn’t sing anything during this song!! LOL. He was looking around our area (after giving his sign ball to the girl in the corner; I’m not sure if she was able to see anything in that seat!) and I kept on waving and pointing to my friend because she was a Yoko fan. He stopped and kinda laughed at me because I was so desperate to get his attention to her, haha. The funny thing is, in Osaka I had this lightning bolt through my body when I had eye contact with Shota and Hina because I KNEW I had eye contact. This time, I definitely had a lot of eye contact with Yoko because he was totally looking at us for quite a few seconds, but I was so desperate to get his attention to my friend that I didn’t feel the slightest doki doki, lol. Apparently, I was yelling things like “She came all the way to Okinawa for you!!” at him… all in English. Yeah, that’s really helpful. I’m sure Yoko totally knew what I was saying… or NOT, haha. Had it been Ryo, definitely. But I don’t think Yoko! Anyway, we had a Yoko moment. Subaru was coming from the other way on the cart but he stopped short before he came to our end. He went down the aisle that my other friend was at (it was her birthday and she was sitting in the aisle seat!). I kept my eyes on her but she totally didn’t go to touch Subaru even if he was right there. She told me later that he was too intimidating and he was walking down the stairs so carefully that she was afraid to touch him.
Something was very wrong with Hina this day, by the way. He was totally at a loss during Energy and he was still running around in his Nasu Ranger costume toward the end of the song when by that time he was supposed to be up and ready to move on the cart for the next song. Needless to say he wasn’t in time for the cart so he just walked down the aisle.
MC - Yoko said that he was walking around town and saw a girl in the tour t-shirt near Tsutaya (a CD rental store). She had like 7 or so iron sheets on her back, but sadly enough she didn’t notice Yoko was right there behind her. Ohkura kept on saying “She must have gone to the duty-free store. Girls like duty-free.”
They pointed out how dark Subaru was especially wearing the bright green tank top. They talked about how Subaru and Shota had two days off together in Okinawa and made the best out of it (did I mention how awfully tanned they were?). They had been in Okinawa since the 21st. By the way, just as a side note, during the show on the 30th Yoko was saying how he chose not to send Subaru a birthday email at 0:00 because he didn’t want to spoil the birthday surprise they had planned on doing during the show on the 22nd. Subaru however said “I did get one email at exactly 0:00 though.” Yoko said “What!? Oh wait, you don’t even need to tell me who it was.” Everyone looked at one guy (I’m sure you can all guess who). Subaru pointed at Shota and said “Yasu.” Apparently, Shota sent Subaru an email saying “Shibuyan, Omedeto!” exactly at midnight. Subaru’s reply was “for what?” lol. He didn’t remember that it was his birthday. They exchanged a few emails after that and Subaru realized that it was his birthday and thanked him.
Anyway, during the MC I was at, they talked about Shota, Subaru and Ryo going scuba diving on an isolated island. They all had the same day off, so they had planned on doing it from a while ago. Ryo was the only guy who had scuba diving experience, and him and Shota were getting so hyper and excited. The three did some breathing practices using the snorkel, and Subaru didn’t like it. He couldn’t breathe in and out too well, so he didn’t want to do it. However, because the other two were so hyper, he didn’t want to let them down so he said in a very cheerful tone “Hey guys, I decided not to do it!!” Ryo was saying “Oh come on Subaru-kun,” nicely, but Subaru could see that he was really pissed and that he was about to punch him or something, haha. Subaru eventually joined and had a really good time. Ohkura said “You know when we were in Tokyo, Subaru-kun kept on telling us ‘Oh man, this island is AWESOME,’ as if he was enjoying every moment of it!”
They started talking about how Subaru tends to make stories sound bigger than they are. One time, Yoko, Hina and Subaru went to eat some crab. Throughout the dinner, Subaru kept on complaining how annoying it was to eat crab (it’s very mendokusai) and didn’t eat much of it. But the next time they saw the other guys, Subaru was like “Oh man, crab was AWESOME.” There also was this time when Yoko, Shota and Subaru went to BBQ. Shota and Yoko went in the river and were having fun, but Subaru kept on saying “No, the water’s too cold! No!” but told the others that he had so much fun. Subaru defended himself by saying that if he says things like those, he thought that people would invite him back again. Haha, oh Subaru.
By the way, during the MC, Subaru was looking at Shota and mouthing something to him. The two started laughing. Some inside joke, eh!? Subaru faced my direction when he looked at Shota because of the way they stood, so I felt pretty happy being able to see something that many people in the rest of the arena wouldn’t be able to see!
Yoko asked for another massage (he asked for one in Hiroshima, too. See report here if you are interested; he often mentions this massage as the most impressive thing that happened to him during this tour:
http://paaaaan.livejournal.com/22614.html#cutid2) and even though he had hoped for a young chick to come, a lady in her 50’s came in. She had the door unlocked (I guess it’s their store policy or something) but since Yoko didn’t want the guys or the staff members coming in, he asked her if she could lock the door. She then kinda protected her body and said “…what are you trying to do!?” lol. I’m sure Yoko’s exaggerating a lot here but it was funny nonetheless.
Shimanchu nu Takara - Instead of Itsuka, Mata, they performed “Shimanchu nu Takara,” an Okinawa song by BEGIN. It was a very nice performance. While they got ready, Shota stopped to look at our section for a second then drank water from his bottle. He was facing this way the entire time. I would like to believe he was looking at ME most of the concert but I’m sure that’s what the Shota fan next to me and the Shota fan two girls from me and some other Shota fans in front of me were thinking as well, haha. OH WELL. His guitar solo was very nice for this song. Since I was moved by this performance so much, I even bought the CD after I got back to Kobe, haha. They have the “Iyasasa!” call-outs during this song, and since not many were from Okinawa, only a few were able to say it. Also, during the song, there’s a whistling part and a guy in the arena seat did it for them. The guys thanked him afterwards and tried to see if they can whistle as well. Subaru thanked the guy a lot. I felt like I heard the sound of the ocean wave… I wonder if that was coming from Hina’s instrument or somewhere else. It was very nice, though.
While Maru went to prepare for his solo, they talked a bit more. It was interesting to see backstage because the staff kept on telling Hina to make the MC longer because Maru wasn’t ready. They talked about Ohkura and Yoko’s dramas as well as Hina’s show with Shinsuke. Yoko said that in the drama, he gets yelled at (by the school principal) a lot for the bad things that Akanishi does, and he doesn’t like it, lol.
They said they did BBQ in Okinawa for the photo book and had a good time. Yoko asked just how many people were actually from Okinawa… sadly enough, there weren’t many. The guys were like “We shouldn’t have asked!” “Let’s just all pretend you’re all from Okinawa!” “It’s nice to have people coming from many places, but it’ll kinda suck if everyone’s from Osaka… we didn’t have to do it all the way here, haha. I bet if we ask all the Osakans to raise their hands now, they would have arm pit hair.” The last comment of course by Yoko… haha WTF??
Since the staff told them Maru wasn’t quite ready yet, Hina mentioned his show with Shinsuke starting soon. Yoko said “You’re making money again” and Hina came back to say “You have a drama!” Yoko goes “You know, he won’t die even if someone shot him. Do you know why? It’s because he has so much cash with him that it’ll protect him. Anyone wanna bring out a knife and try it out?” Hina goes “I’ll fight with all my power!” Maru was finally ready so we all called him out, Maaaaru chaaaan!
Magic Word - Instead of the big balloon used in the arenas, he had the giant cracker that he used in the hall shows for the big PAAAAAN.
Junior’s dance - Thankfully the Juniors did not sing; they just danced while the guys got ready for the last stretch.
K8 dance - Ohkura and Hina were supposed to come out first. Ohkura did, but wasn’t wearing the long white jacket like he was supposed to. Hina on the other hand somehow missed again and didn’t even show up to dance! What the hell was wrong with him that day? Haha. Yoko and Maru came out and Yoko was wearing glasses again. Shota, Subaru and Ryo did fine; Ryo and Shota were making a lot of eye contact.
Kanashii Koi - Because they line up in one line across the stage, our seat only allows us to see the guy in the end on our side… which just so happened to be Sho-chan <3 Haha.
Osaka Rainy Blues - Ryo, Shota and Maru came around our way during Ryo’s rap, and they went around a lap.
Futari no Namida Ame - Ohkura and Subaru took their jackets off here. Shota was kinda taking it off too… I don’t remember when he actually did. During Ryo’s first part, the lyrics say lovers put their shoulders together, and they usually put their shoulders out to the front. Shota puts it out a few seconds after the others do and it’s quite sexy. While Subaru sang his part, Yoko was doing something to Shota. When they use the mic stand to represent a girl, Shota kissed the mic. Toward the end, Subaru moved Shota’s mic stand so Shota had to dance around to get it back. Do I mention Shota too much? I’m sorry, but it’s hard not to focus on him!
Osaka Romanesque - GAAAA Shota was looking at ME (or “our area” if you really want to put it that way, lol) while the three ossans sang the first part. Maru was looking our way a lot, too. Shota kinda forgot that he had to go down to the lower stage at one point in the song, so Maru was looking at him as if to say “Ohhh, Sho-chan… <3” I’m really sorry I haven’t mentioned anything but Shota for the last few songs!
Heavenly Psycho - The song was normally played for once, haha. We sang it so well that Ryo asked us to sing an extra round. It was quite nice. On the 30th, Ryo started off on the other side of the stage, walked back to the main stage where the other guys had been set up and they all played the second verse of the song!! How awesome!!
Drum solo/band session - My GOD Ohkura’s drum solo was so long!! He was screaming at the top of his lungs (without the mic) at one point and was totally trying to smash his cymbals. After a five-minute drum solo (or even longer!), I heard the bass but I didn’t see where Maru was coming from. He usually just comes out on the main stage but he walked over from the other side. Shota came out from my side. Subaru and Yoko came out earlier than usual and Yoko yelled “Yasu saikoooooo!” and Subaru had his arm around Shota as he played the guitar.
Do you agree? - Everyone was going nuts by this point. Ryo and Shota looked into each other as they sang the rap part.
Gojo ni Go! - Ohkura started out with the 1, 2, 3, 4! Then Subaru did the AHAAA and this song was as crazy as usual.
Sayonara wa Itsumo - Ryo’s speech was kinda emotional. He said things like “We can be lost at times, but we’re always moving forward. Please continue to support us.” Ohkura was the closest from where I was and at the beginning, he was standing slightly out of the spotlight so he slowly moved his way into the light. It was Ohkura, Yoko and Subaru on one side and Shota, Hina and Maru on the other. Ryo was at the main stage. For the last Ryo solo, the guys were all lined up in one line on the main stage. At the end of the song, Ryo did like an “Ole!” pose so even after a nice, moving song, we kinda had to laugh at that.
EN Mugendai - They introduced the Juniors and Maru did the finger thing to my friend and he gave me a nice smile as well. I think I’ve mentioned this at the beginning, but Shota, Hina and Maru looked at our area a lot, probably knowing that we didn’t really have the best seats in the house with the weird angle and all. Thanks guys!
2EN Zukkoke Otokomichi - When they came out, Maru started spilling water on the stage and ran a bit to slip and slide to say “Zukkoke Otokomichi!” He did that a few times. I didn’t notice it but Yoko was walking down the aisle where we were the first ones from it. Surprisingly, I wasn’t nervous or anything when he came by again either… I don’t know why I’m not so doki doki when he comes by, haha. Maybe I’m too used to seeing him on TV or something?? I don’t know. I kinda reached out to touch his arm. Shota did the “Jump! Jump! Jump jump jump!” thing again as well as the “Soya soya soya” with Yoko. Hina looked our way again and waved. Surprisingly, I think Subaru was looking this way too and I might have had eye contact with him as well (probably 98% wrong, haha). He was wearing the white tank top with red ink on it (the one from the VOCE magazine). Hina kept on running up and down the aisle in the arena teasing the staff and the staff was having a hard time trying to protect him, haha. Poor staff guy! They thanked the staff, the fans etc. and Shota said “Everyone! Let’s say thank you to our staff!” and we all said Thanks. We held the person next to us’ hands and did the “Saiko de saikyo no Kanjani8!”
3EN - They came out saying “Donnan hoshiino” (like the Heat Up bonus track). Yoko said something about- having each guy say one word and ending it, but the crowd started chanting “One more song!” They ended up not doing a song nor the comments, but Yoko threw his t-shirt with 47 iron sheets ironed on into the crowd. The guy in the arena (the same guy who did the whistling for the Okinawa song) totally jumped and caught the t-shirts. Everyone was like WOW. The guys started picking on him. “Who did you come with? Is the girl with you your girlfriend? If you come to a concert alone with her, there must be something going on! KISS KISS KISS!” Yoko said “Fine, then I’ll kiss you instead.” Coincidentally the girl was holding a “Yoko KISS ME” kinda uchiwa, and she was nodding a lot, haha. Yoko and Subaru kept on asking them “What are you going to do tonight!?”
Subaru was topless and wearing cow pants. As he was leaving, he slid his pants down to show like 3 inches of his crack. You can clearly see the tan line, haha. His butt was so pale compared to his back! Hina yelled at Subaru for showing his butt. Shota left from our side and said Bye Bye! Hina left from our side as well and stayed until the end to say Bye to all of us.

As usual, it took ages to complete this report (haha) but it’s always nice to have something to read back on; it brings back many good memories. I’m very happy to have been able to go to 13 concerts during this tour. I can’t wait for the next tour, whenever they have it!!!
K8 boys - Arigato and Otsukaresama-desita!!!!
P.S. How could one concert report end up being 16 pages on Word!? Haha.

I fell in love with this cell phone strap the moment I saw it. It is handmade and is one-of-a-kind. "Nankuru naisa" means "Anything can somehow work out (in the end)." It was a phrase that the taxi driver told me that made Okinawa a special place, and also the fact that it was red and blue... I needed to get this one; it was basically begging for me to buy it! Haha.
