So I went skiing today. While I was sitting in the lodge putting my gear on, a buddy spotted me and came over. Last I knew this buddy was splitting his time between Iraq and Hawaii so I was stunned. Sometimes it's really awesome to ski as well as I do at such a small resort in such a small town. Like those times when people I barely know give me a discount on ski maintenance. That had to have been a combination of reputation and connections because it certainly wasn't our long history of close friendship. Pretty cool.

So, I hate my job. With enthusiasm. It has all of the bullshit of my last job but with less pay. Obviously I'm still looking for work. I'm remarkably optimistic though; I'm absolutely sure something perfect will come along soon and so I'm determined not to settle for anything less than what I want. Some friends and I have been trying to snowboard together regularly this season. It hasn't been working very well but we've made it out a few times.
