Maybe it was divine providence that made Shunsui look out the window, but when he did, he saw the words on the sidewalk and with a bit of a confused blink and a sad, knowing smile at the same time.

Stepping outside, he looked for Jinx to see if he'd missed her or if she was waiting.

The last few days had left him, quiet and thoughtful. He was expecting they'd need to have a talk, but figured it would be for the best to let Jinx do it at her own speed.

Jinx was there all right. Sitting at the end of the sad face she had drawn, she was making one equally sorrowful. Waiting for him to look out the window (she was going to sit there all night if she had to,) she was left with her own thoughts. Her slender legs were curled up to her chest, arms wrapped around them, and her face was buried in her knees. More people than anticipated seemed to know she was alive, so there was no sense in hiding her pink hair that fell around her knees like a pink mop ( ... )

"Jinx, why dont you come in? There's some beer in the fridge" Was all Shunsui said for now.

There was a pain in his chest he'd been delaying for the last few days, it was catching up with him as he could only ignore the obvious for so long. Standing aside, he gestured through the door for Jinx.

Jinx nodded almost solemnly to his words. "Thanks..." was all she could mutter. After pulling the keys from her motorcycle and shoving them in her pocket, she slowly made her way toward the front door, not making eye contact. The grass along the walk began to whither and die, making her stop and take a deep breath. Her automatic reaction to the terrible luck that followed her was normally "I'll pay for that," but for now she said nothing. The glow of her eyes ceased and she went inside ( ... )
