More Agility and Rally

Yesterday I left the house before 9 to head to school and got home after 5.  Having all my classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays really sucks!  Anyway, poor Faith was cooped up in the house for all that time, so I thought that agility class would be...interesting, to say the least.  She was actually really good!  We finally put all the obstacles in the mini-course together.  At one point Faith decided that she was scared of running through the chute, so Karen started treating her at the end of it.  But then, of course, Faith figured that she didn't really have to do the obstacles in between the A-frame and Karen--she could just go straight to Karen!  ::sigh::  We got it in the end, though, and her last run was pretty much awesome.  Sydney (Maureen's corgi) was on fire!  She is amazingly fast for her stubby little legs.

I think I'm going to enter Faith in a couple of AKC rally trials.  There is one in Lynchburg that closes at the end of the month.  It is outdoors (which is definitely not preferable), but Maureen and Sydney are going and Karen might go with one of her dogs.  There's also one being given by the New River Valley Kennel Club, but on the premium list is says that there will be no classes offered for poodles.  Um--what?  Does that mean they just don't let poodles compete?  Why?!  I sent an email to the trial secretary person.  I hope I don't sound completely ignorant.  But even if they are anti-poodle for some reason, there is hope for us yet!  The Central Carolina Poodle Club is having a poodle specialty with breed, obedience, and rally!  The president of the CCPC is Faith's breeder.  :)  I haven't talked to her in ages, and it would be fun to go to the show to let her how Faith is coming along.  Of course, I would also be way more nervous for that show in case Faith was a flake.  Also, what if all the beautifully coiffed poodles put my inexpert grooming skills to shame?  Anyway, I am very excited at the prospect of maybe getting a leg or two for her RN!  I think I'll enter Faith in both the Rally Novice A and B classes, just for the chance to have two gos.
