The thing that makes the cancellation so bad is she almost certainly could've announced it sooner lol weren't there journalists hinting at it like, 2 weeks prior?! Anyways, the fact I didn't even know this was tonight is a perfect example of why it wasn't worth it, lol. Great song, though.

Also, self identifying as Joan of Arc is so Morrissey lmao.

I said it in the live post but given how underwhelming the performance was it would've been better had they just telecast from one of her euro shows because I think she would've given better energy.

After the performance I kept thinking, yep her Euro fans have a right to be pissed.

Yeah, I said it in the live viewing post but last year's pre-show VMA performance was better.

Nothing groundbreaking, but still better than what she gave us this year.

tbh it plays constantly where I live, lol. I've heard it in malls, grocery stores, everywhere. There must be a regional aspect to this type of thing though, I know there are songs I see people here say are inescapable that I've legit never heard.

I've literally never heard it playing anywhere. I know they have to kiss her ass and obviously she's having a huge year so i expect her to win some things but it should not have won song of the summer (like seriously what) or best pop at the very least

yeah really, what?? In my head something being called 'song of the summer', it's gonna be catchy, upbeat, fun vibes, something that'll be on everyone's playlist at a party and yelling the lyrics to it if it comes on the radio while you're driving

fortnight is absolutely none of those things. You cannot convince me anyone outside of her (admittedly gargantuan) fanbase was checking for that song during the northern hemisphere summer. It's autumnal at best and it's certainly not a fucking party playlist song lmao
