i know it's just the vmas and they prob did it to guarantee taylor would be there but fortnight winning as much as it did was a joke lol, boring song, boring video, you never hear it playing ANYWHERE zzzzzzzz

tbh it plays constantly where I live, lol. I've heard it in malls, grocery stores, everywhere. There must be a regional aspect to this type of thing though, I know there are songs I see people here say are inescapable that I've legit never heard.

I've literally never heard it playing anywhere. I know they have to kiss her ass and obviously she's having a huge year so i expect her to win some things but it should not have won song of the summer (like seriously what) or best pop at the very least

yeah really, what?? In my head something being called 'song of the summer', it's gonna be catchy, upbeat, fun vibes, something that'll be on everyone's playlist at a party and yelling the lyrics to it if it comes on the radio while you're driving

fortnight is absolutely none of those things. You cannot convince me anyone outside of her (admittedly gargantuan) fanbase was checking for that song during the northern hemisphere summer. It's autumnal at best and it's certainly not a fucking party playlist song lmao

The only time I’ve heard Fortnight and Eminem’s Houdini on radio it was on Sirius radio in a friends car.

MULTIPLE stations were playing those songs regularly over the course of a busy weekend of driving. It was kind of bizarre.
