That's what Elvis deserves. My God, that movie bored me to tears.

🙏 thank you for saying it. It was not that good. Like truly objectively unclear choices from the filmmaker level. Butler gave it 110% but having it from the Colonel’s perspective and one random modern music rap sequence… ? Then tacking on footage of real Elvis… ?? No depth with his relationship with Priscilla… ???

I wasn't too surprised cause that does happen. I remember The Irishman had 8-9 nominations and went home with nothing.

I'm saddest for Banshees :( . Everyone kinda knew that EEAAO was sweep for the most part but a lot of people were hoping Kerry for Best Supporting Actress would've been the consolation prize cause it's other shot was Best Original Screenplay but lol EEAAO was winning that one!!

I also thought it got snubbed for a costume nom cause I really liked the outfits for that one.

Not totally sad for Tár but I was hoping Todd Field would leave with something.....since the next film will be in 20 years ;-;

Elvis underperformed.

Yeah, I’m really sad Banshees didn’t win anything. Back in September I was sure Colin would win best actor.

He was my Best Actor pick even though I had a feeling Brendan was gonna take the win.

When Colin lost at Bafta where he SHOULD'VE won....it was over :(

I was convinced Elvis would win costume and make-up/hair,

Happy Ruth won again but The Whale win was weird to me.

Also wish Banshees had won something.

With Austin and Brendan both being nominated for such “transformative” roles, hair & makeup was always going to line up with actor. When Elvis lost to The Whale, I knew it was over for Austin.

I’m glad it didn’t. There were so many elements they got completely wrong.

Feeling this one:

All the ladies of that category were so robbed by nothing performance and a sag speech

that babylon clip would be better if margot was actually dancing to the beat instead of flailing like a lunatic

I thought the same but I don't think her character is supposed to be particularly good at dancing. Plus she drugged up like everyone else in that whole sequence lol so her dancing isn't supposed to be perfect.

unless it's specifically important to the plot that she's a bad dancer, she should've been a good dancer so the sequence could actually make a strong impact

Glad Brendan won...
Jamie Lee did NOT deserve that win.
EEAO was a delight and glad they all got their wins, esp Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan <3
