While it was indeed a great night for 'Everything Everywhere All at Once', 'All Quiet on the Western Front', and even 'The Whale', a lot of Oscars best picture nominees were shut out completely

I wasn't too surprised cause that does happen. I remember The Irishman had 8-9 nominations and went home with nothing.

I'm saddest for Banshees :( . Everyone kinda knew that EEAAO was sweep for the most part but a lot of people were hoping Kerry for Best Supporting Actress would've been the consolation prize cause it's other shot was Best Original Screenplay but lol EEAAO was winning that one!!

I also thought it got snubbed for a costume nom cause I really liked the outfits for that one.

Not totally sad for Tár but I was hoping Todd Field would leave with something.....since the next film will be in 20 years ;-;

Yeah, I’m really sad Banshees didn’t win anything. Back in September I was sure Colin would win best actor.

I learned tonight Todd Field's father in law (who lives with him and his family now) has 2 best screenplay Oscar wins so i wonder if going home is gonna be awkward or not lmao. If Todd doesn't get sidelined another 16 years he'll get a win eventually.

Yeah, I never believed the critics who claimed the Academy would "spread the love", because there have been many examples of the contrary, lol, especially when they have a clear favorite like EEAAO.

I did think Banshees and Elvis deserved something. Tár was good but I'm ok with its 0 wins.
