A couple if my favorite authors have been inducted into the science fiction hall of fame. Actually one of the all-time greats, and some other excellent choices. You really should read Lord of Light and I am Legend.

I have stumbled upon a documentary about Herman Meville. It is absolutely chilling. It discusses a great length the story of a shipwreck (the Essex) that involves canabalism and more. I don't know anything about Stephanie Meyer, or Twilight. Actually that is not true. They are romantic vampire novels that are either loved or reviled. The guys over at CHUD.com hate them so much they title every post about them "F*ck this face". I just completed reading the first Graham Greene novel I have read in a long time. It was one of his last, entitled The Human Factor. It was his attempt to combine his life as a spy (he was in MI6 for many years, some say until he died), with his more "serious novels" like The Heart of the MatterI would say the novel works stunningly well. Well I guess I am an asshole. Here was David Foster Wallace the whole time and I missed it. When Daring Fireball and yoshimi said he was made of awesome, I listened. I got Consider the Lobster from the library. I find the essays inside funny, and insightful.

My favorite thing about bookmooch.com is what you get when you get a book. It is sort of like the magazine Found (which I believe originates her in Ann Arbor). Little peices of lives that you have no connection to, yet spark your interest. Let me give you some examples.

I am reading a collection of short stories by Deborah Eisenberg, entitled Twilight of the Superheroes. The stories do not have any connection to super heroes.
