Laurel and I went shopping on our own today. Perhaps tomorrow we will visit Goodwill!

Now that I have conquered my fear of crossing Trinity Mills, all sorts of fun have opened up. We went to the Mail Room, a shipping/stationery store, to send Himself's last package of mail to his lawyer's office. I finally got stamps to send our Galveston postcards out (saarlander, watch your mail!) as well as picking up cards to send smurfchick and slutmuphin. Laurel picked them out, so I can only guarantee they're birthday and get-well cards, respectively.

While we were in the area, we spent way too much time in the fabric store, where I picked up something I needed (fusible interfacing to reinforce often-used pattern pieces) and a couple things we didn't (fabric, sale buttons and a card of regular-price buttons as a good behavior reward for the midget). In the grocery store, our shopping pattern was much the same: shampoo for me, English muffins, bananas and grapes. Laurel charmed the pants off everyone we met, including our mail carrier, who was loading the mailboxes with the day's mail before we went out.

spasmsproject: we got the package. Laurel thinks they're dress-up (as in costume) shoes and is currently parading around in the dressy pair announcing that she is a princess. (:
