I charged tonight - with a full patient census of 20. Which included transfers to and from ICU and a new admit from ER. I had an LPN to cover, change of staff 3 times to cover a short-staffing issue (19-23 / 23-03 / 03-07) Not only did I wade my way through the pile of charts and incomplete orders that swarmed at 1900, I gave report on 20 ( Read more... )

So. For the last 2 weeks or so, I have been loathing my DSL connection. I'm talking detest, with the fire of a thousand burning suns. It has been spotty connection, slow download times, disconnect in the middle of something important. Just, generally meh in the overall scheme of things.

Well, I had decided yesterday that I was going to take part in my first ever NaBloPoMo. And then I promptly forgot to pay my phone bill - which led to my internet being turned off. Yes, I rule teh intarwebz.
