So. For the last 2 weeks or so, I have been loathing my DSL connection. I'm talking detest, with the fire of a thousand burning suns. It has been spotty connection, slow download times, disconnect in the middle of something important. Just, generally meh in the overall scheme of things.

So yesterday when I was in paying my delinquent phone bill, I mentioned my connection problems to the customer service agent. She told me to contact tech support, which I did today. They put me through a speed test, and, surprise surprise, I failed. IN a big way.

Apparently they never put the work order through after we signed up to go from their cDSL to aDSL package back in June. They sent me the wrong modem. And my settings aren't correct. I have been paying for 3MBPS since June. I've been getting 1MBPS if I'm lucky. And the modem they sent me doesn't process any faster than 1MBPS. Can we say, creditonmybillnowkthxbai?

Customer service is 'looking into' why we never got switched over. I'm waiting for a call from them as I type.

On top of that, my allergies are kicking my ass today. I think it has something to do with the fireplace. Gah.
