You know how they say, "A painting is never finished.  It just stops in an interesting place"?

Well, a Whofic story I think I got the idea for in 2007 is about done.  It's only 600 words, if that.

I guess I worked on it for a few hours every year or so.  And today I thought, "No, it's done.  Done enough."

Planning a lot this weekend:

• Going to a New Dancers Milonga at the tango club
• Doing my taxes
• Helping S. with paperwork for something or other.
• Visiting my trainer
• Doing some extra job-work because I made the mistake of saying I could do something by Monday morning that I probably can't. I don't mind, though.

I have a lot of stuff to do for work, but am considering just slothing it tonight.  Read something of earlgreytea68's from cover to cover. Or maybe watch the premieres of Elementary and S.H.I.E.L.D ( Read more... )

In my fictional universe, Pete's World split off from the Doctor's world long enough ago that the crown of England (when they still had one) went from Henry VII to Arthur I to his son Henry VIII "the Seafarer" to his granddaughter Anne Tudor.  I've been pretty adamant that there won't have been a Doctor in Pete's World ( Read more... )

First evening of my vacation, and I am bored.  Oh, there's plenty of housekeeping to do, there are presents to wrap and cookies to bake and laundry to put away, but none of that presently appeals.  (Most of it never appeals.)

I think I need to either write, or get on the treadmill.  What say you?  

Was up 'til 1 am staring down the night hours. Finally went to bed.

Got up at 5 am. Have been up ever since.

I wanted to write tonight, but I don't think I can. I think I need to do the cat litter, brush my teeth, and go to bed.

While I don't have any idea where this story goes past a certain point, I do have an idea of how I'll construct it. No, even that's too general. How I'll frame it. What my framing device will be ( Read more... )
