Planning a lot this weekend:

• Going to a New Dancers Milonga at the tango club
• Doing my taxes
• Helping S. with paperwork for something or other.
• Visiting my trainer
• Doing some extra job-work because I made the mistake of saying I could do something by Monday morning that I probably can't. I don't mind, though.

This is someone I'd never heard of: lotuskasumi. (It feels strange, very true-end-of-an-era-ish, to be recommending someone who doesn't have a LiveJournal.)

I particularly recommend the series Love is Illogical, which does what I wanted to do in a totally different way, and does it much, much better than I could have.

... and in a good mood.  It's a lovely sunny day outside and they say it will be up to 61F.  That's Spring-like, at least/at last.

I think I may well be in love with the singer/songwriter Dan Bern, just from his music.  I've had song after song from Breathe in my head over the past few days.

I haven't seen "Anonymous", but I must recommend Laura Miller's review on Salon.com, to which I was pointed by sensiblecat. This line alone makes it worth the effort:

annlarimer writes Hot Fuzz fic.  She writes not only the best such fic I've ever read, she writes the best I can conceive of.  The character voices -- even, and especially, the inner voices -- are absolutely spot on.

I just read a truly wonderful story:  roachpatrol 's well, you know.  Human!Nine, Jack, Rose, music in the cafés at night, revolution in the air.  Just lovely.

Go read it.  Come back and enthuse. 

Ceremony, by orange_crushed. Beautiful and solemn and painful and inevitable. As katesutton said, you can almost see the weight on the Doctor in Season Three of having done this, of having given in to temptation and been forced back to that painful, hopeless, heroic stoicism. So very, very well done.

As for the language, it dazzles.
