I have some cute yarn that I recently acquired and was thinking of knitting my little cousin a felted hat and mittens. Problem is, I know nothing about felting lol. Does anyone know a good pattern for a hat and/or mittens for a beginner?

I've never tried to buy specific needles, and I'm confused on the two sets of #5 DPNs, are they two different sizes, two needles each?
