That's as in 'Red wurst', not 'rotten wurst'. It's, well, red. And pretty good, but also rather non-descript, though that might have been because I was tipsy when I drank it, and it was smothered in ketschup. Still, it was tasty. I just can't tell you what it tasted like. :P

The cake is good, but still not the dense German haselnut cake I was hoping for. It turned out not terribly sweet, like other German cakes (something I love), but actually quite light and fluffy. I think I've managed to find some gamers in Heidelberg. We'll see if they write back. My brain is tired now, from reading all sorts of world information and gamer talk, without knowing what were words I didn't know in German and what were fantasy names. Sleepy brain.

In looking for some other gamers in Heidelberg, I came across the word "Jugger" several times. Jugger-gruppe, juggern (as a verb) and Jugger (as a noun). Not in any dictionary.

It means 'boffer,' or something like it, judging by the weapons.

So the other night we were sitting around after dinner, and I said something incorrectly in German. The slip caused a slight discussion of the word 'Sinn,' meaning 'sense' or 'meaning.' Naturally, someone mentioned the 'meaning of life.' I think it was Frank.

Without missing a beat, both Sven and I said, "Zweiundvierzig."

Scooter, the band that recorded the much loved 'How Much is the Fish?', is German. This pleases me greatly.
