I wasn't able to watch the live stream for World Ballet Day today. It's very disappointing considering I loved tuning in last year to watch Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, The Royal Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada and San Francisco Ballet all collaborating to bring ballet to the forefront. The Royal Winnipeg Ballet put out a movie version of their long running production of Moulin Rouge. Saw it at Cineplex Theatres. Lovely French ballet set in the cabaret, pretty costumes, lively music and of course the Cancan performed ‘en pointe’ naturally! The story, like most stories, is one of love and loss.
