Getting Lost on the Path of Life

Feb 03, 2012 21:23

It was this time of day he loved the most. The night not quite here, the day not quite gone, the soft glow of twilight hanging about the school as the newest teacher in the school finished getting settled in. He sighed as he stepped out of his classroom, closing and locking the door behind him.

As he often did, he began to walk, getting 'lost on the ( Read more... )

Konan had just closed up the Library and was about to head on home. None of the students had stayed after class so she decided to close it up earlier than she usually would.

Walking down the hallways, the soft sound of a piano chort grabs her attention as she passes the music room. Not expecting anyone to be in there, especially seeing as none of the students seemed to care for music bar one, she stops, talking a ew steps back and peeking through the open door.

....And she has no idea who the man is, as she silently watches him.

Of course he knew she was there, the soft sound of footsteps, the swish of clothing. He stroked his fingers over the keys once more before he shed the fine black sports coat he wore, folding it over his arm and laying on the bench. He unbuttoned his sleeves, rolling them up as he settled down.

His eye fell to the keys as his hands eased into place, beginning to play a rather lovely classical piece, Rondo Alla Turca. The song was happy and bouncy, but flowing all at the same time. He almost seemed off in his own world as he played, his gaze fixated on the keys.

She continues watching for a moment, intrigued as to who this person is and what they were doing here in the school's music room, yet she can't look away.

...Until she realises that she has been staring for a good minute or so, and it is way past that point in where finally speaking up is going to seem awkward. Letting out a small cough to grab the man's attention, she speaks up.

"Ah.. hello..? Are you new here?"

Ever patient, he simply waited until the woman made herself known, lowering the volume of his playing so that he could speak with her, his gaze never leaving the keys.

"Yes I am. I was hired as the new Literature instructor." He teased the keys gently rounding the song off easily to a smooth finish. He turned around on the bench to face her, a smile on his face.

"Hatake Kakashi...at your service miss."

Have a Sai too xD

[Somebody had stayed behind after class to make use of the empty Art room. Being his usual curious self, when he saw the music room door open he had to stop and take a look. Maybe Sasuke was in there?

He looks, and no, that is definitely not Sasuke. ]

Who are you?

OMG TAGS! *flails!

Kakashi paused, glancing towards the door and straightened up, his hands slipping into the pockets of his sports coat. "Hatake Kakashi..the new Literature teacher." He tilted his head, regarding this young man before him, a trained eye picking up little details here and there.

"And what's got a student here so late hm?"

Sai doesn't answer at first, carefully studying the stranger from head to toe. Once done with his inspection, a smile suddenly spreads across his face.

"Then I will be a student of yours. My name is Sai."

It was sort of odd, almost like two animals sizing one another up, the way they studied one another, trying to pick out any discrepancies.

"Good to meet you Sai." He smiled in return. "If you're such a dedicated student to stay after this last, I'm looking forward to teaching you." There was nothing quite like an eager mind.

Naruto was never usually the type to stay in school any longer than he had to-- but one of Sasuke's strings had snapped on his violin, and he was determined to find a replacement for it.

Carefully, he crept through the corridor towards the music room, trying the door. Oh. He was actually a little surprised to find it open - normally Sasuke had to go and ask Konan-san for the key. Shrugging, he pushed the door open - and it was only then that he heard the music. Blinking rapidly and staring at the piano in the other corner he waited. He didn't know that teacher... had never seen him in his life... Maybe he was an intruder?!

"Oi!" The yell was loud, and quickly he stood up to his feet, reaching his hands up behind his head to tighten the headband around his forehead. "Who the hell are you!?"

Such a loud voice.

He turned and merely...stopped. It couldn't be. His eyes quickly flickered over the teen's form before stopping on those cheeks. It was. He felt like his heart stopped for a moment but he played it off easily.

Withdrawing his hand from the keys, he eased it into his pocket. "Hm. Hatake Kakashi...the new Literature teacher. You must be Uzumaki Naruto hm?" He tilted his head with a small smile on his face.

Naruto was used to people looking at him funny... so the moment Kakashi turned and he saw the look on his face change, even slightly - all his guards went up. It showed in the way his muscles tightened, and especially in the way his fists curled into tight balls either side of his legs.

"... I don't even like Literature." He muttered, giving him a cautious look. "Yeah. I'm Naruto--"

Hm, so like him

Kakashi smiled behind the mask, "I've heard a lot about you Naruto-kun...that you're quite a handful."

Just like your mother

He chuckled softly at the tension read in the teens' frame before speaking lightly. "I'm sorry you don't like Literature, but books are rather interesting things. Plus you'll need to know the things I have to teach to get into university."

Empty? Are you sure, Kakashi? Shisui had been pretty sure he had locked himself in, but that sliver of light that stretched into the room when the door opened made him look up. Alright, so someone else was sneaking into the music room~ And who it was, he had no idea. Had never seen the guy before; well, at least that silhouette didn't look too familiar. And wow, crazy hair! As if his unruly curls weren't bad enough, this guy's hair just defied gravity.

Grinning, not really moving away from his little hiding spot in the darkest corner of the room, just underneath the huge windows where he'd sat himself down with a guitar, Shisui listens to that one note coming off the piano, breathes, and then begins to play the Pink Panther theme for the intruder~

He heard that strum of guitar strings, being unable to keep a smile from curling on his lips. His fingers moved, catching up to the tune and playing along. It was a simple, funny little song, one of the first ones he learned to play when he was a boy.

Kakashi shifted as he sat down, continuing to play along to the end before dipping in a more complicated piece, the jazzy sound of Rhapsody in Blue filling the room.

Shisui just sat there, still in the shadows. He didn't have to see the man's face, didn't want to, didn't need to. Because the music... He just smiled to himself, leaning back against the wall, listening to every note. It spoke to him ( ... )

As Shisui had let him play to the end, Kakashi gave him the same respect, simply listening and enjoying the melody that those rather talented fingers drew forth from the guitar.

He had shifted to sit at the end of the piano bench, merely watching quietly. When it came to an end, that was when he finally spoke, breaking the somewhat pregnant silence.

"You play wonderfully..Is the guitar all you play?"
