I've actually managed to be pretty productive this past week. Don't know what's got into me, but it feels rather good.

TV is a vast wasteland at the moment, but notes on the past two episodes of Doctor Who, both of which I thought were better than the last 4 or 5.

Watching tonight's King of the Hill (probably the most underrated show on TV right now, IMO), I'm struck again by just how accurate it is with the comedy, particularly the little asides that could just be throwaways.

( I can't imagine anyone's sensitive to spoilers, but just in case... )

There is no mood in my mood theme for "creeped the hell out".

Just watched the 1976 version of Brimstone and Treacle. Dennis Potter was a sick, sick man, but even more astonishing was baby!Michael Kitchen. For those who have only seen him as the sweet but slightly woolly types in Enchanted April or House of Cards, or even as the intellectual ( Read more... )
