+ Summer and life seem to be flying by at a quick pace. I guess that's what being a grownup is like. I have to drive to Kent this weekend to help my mom shoot a wedding. Things at work are crazy. The Ohio budget is currently in great turmoil and we were all sent this "personal" video message from Strickland talking about ways he is going to balance budget (by reducing state staff). Whew. That was a fun evening last night. First I went to happy hour at Tip Top with coworker Matt and some of his friends from HR. They're in the process of totally reorganizing that bureau, so it was extremely interesting to talk with them about the "philosophy" of ODJFS and how to make employees happier and harder working. Soooo... the Oscars. yuck. I'll admit, I only really watched some of the Pre-Show so I could catch the pretty dresses (and boy were there a lot of pretty dresses last night!) and then the last hour and a half to see the big awards. this weekend has been wonderfully lethargic and relaxing and exactly what I needed after last week. Friday Deanna and I saw Citizen Kane at the Ohio Theatre for CAPA - I'm thrilled that I actually got to see this movie from start to finish, it was much better than I was anticipating.
