Hey everyone, I'm Japanland now, kicking it with JaBoo and having a real chill time to end this last month or so of summer. I just came back half an hour ago from karaoke madness (4:30 AM) with a small group of people. Was what my brother and sister once told me prior to boarding China Airlines earlier last November when we were flying out to Taiwan. FRIENDLY TIPDo not hop on board the Metro Rapid 720 in the early to mid afternoon, IT IS HELL. Traffic on Wilshire grows heavy, as do the numbers of bus commuters piling in at nearly every damned stop. I used a Borders coupon today that took 30% off all travel-related books to buy a Lonely Planet city guide on Shanghai. Now instead of working on my final project for 155 like I should be, I'm flipping through the book's pages just constantly thinking about where I'm going to be this summer and what I'm going to do while there ( Read more... )

Got moved from the UCLA Travel Study waitlist into the actual program. Hells yeah.

OMG! There's a waitlist already at 3!!! NOOOO!!!! Goddamn it, I knew I should've kept checking back with the summer sessions abroad program instead of giving up so easily after thinking there was only ONE class being offered in Shanghai for the summer!
