During September I finished the Martha season and most of Donna's. I didn't get around to recording my thoughts. So now, while the Eleventh Doctor marathon runs in the background, is as good a time as any.

I like Martha. I enjoyed how she established herself within the first five minutes as the polar opposite of Rose - refined, professional, classy. Unfazed, calm, quick-thinking Martha appears to be capable of carrying her own weight. She should be an excellent companion - she is not oblivious to the alien encounters England has experienced. I've been watching the first season of Torchwood on and off. I was looking forward to it, since Capn Jack was so much fun with the Ninth Dr on Who.

Season 2 started out strong, intriguing, and distressing. The middle portion was disappointing - the monsters of the week did not interest me, not even Satan.
