Last summer I finished my degree and got a job starting in November. I had to move 600 km away from everybody I know. First job, new job, new flat (flathunting was rather exhausting too), trying to start a social life, working overtime because it's all new to me and I have lots of responsibilities.
I try to take care of myself as good as I can. I eat healthily and regularly*. I do less exercising than I used to but I still do some (like riding my bike to work, 80 situps every day, going to a dance class once a week).
First my hair almost stopped growing. Ever since I can remember it grew 1cm per month. Now it's more like 0.2cm per month. I could deal with that since that means that my body is simply focusing its energy someplace else. What seriously worries me though is the hair loss. I have lots and lots of hair, I've always lost a fair amount every day, but this is out of proportion. Now I lose in one day what I used to lose in three or four days. I can already see that there is less hair on my head too.
I'm healthy, I went to the doctor. I had some trouble with a sinus infection and needed cortison for that, but that's all cleared up and the hair loss was troubling me before that too.
I know I need to calm down. Thing is, I don't really know how because the stress is running in my subconcious, I don't know how to 'access' it.
So I'd be very very thankful for any kind of advice: be it about something I can take or something I can do.
HAve any of you ever had such hair loss? How did it go, what did you do?
