Vegan with a small stomach :(

Hi naturalliving!

I've recently gone vegan and transitioning from a vegetarian diet where I ate lots of eggs and some cheese. But now going vegan I feel so much better. My skin is much clearer, I have gotten rid of bloating and water retention, I can feel the energy flow through my veins after I eat and I feel morally better.

The big problem is that I have to be constantly eating to feel like I have enough energy throughout the day. So since I have a small stomach all this eating really hurts. By the end of the day it will feel stretched and sometimes I'll look 3 months pregnant. I am naturally skinny and have a high metabolism. In the middle of the day after breakfast I will feel groggy and "like I am high". To try to get rid of the grogginess I will eat lots of food to try to gain energy. Sometimes this works sometimes not. I don't think I am allergic to gluten but I feel most energized when I eat things without gluten. If I eat while grain sprouted bread my mind might be groggy for several hours after no matter what I eat afterwards. I feel most energized when I eat fruit or lighter things. But the energy will only last an hour till I need to eat more again. Leading to fruit taking up a lot of space in my stomach by the end of the day. I have been taking vitamins and a B12 lozenge which though would help more.

I usually eat something like this (small meals because if I eat too much at once I'll feel groggy): 2-3 pieces of fruit for breakfast, for lunch: quinoa (1/4 cup) & veggies (1/2 cup) or a veggie taco (avo/beans/salsa), or avocado chickpea sandwich, for dinner: a bean (1/4 cup) & avocado (1/2 avocado) salad. For snacks: I usually fruit, hummus and veggies, peanut butter and raisins or gluten free bread.

I've always eaten like a a bird and now have to graze like a cow and my stomach does not like it. Help!? More small high calorie vegan foods? (suggestions) More protein? (I eat maybe 1/2 cup beans a day and soy does not agree with me).

Thanks :) I really appreciate the help.
