recommend stress support supplements or herbal remedies please

I've been experiencing a lot of stress lately. Now, I am usually one to get over-stressed but it has been really extreme lately. I know I mainly need sleep but can't relax enough to get it. I've been researching supplements and herbs I could take to help reduce my stress. What I want to achieve is sort of a reset because my body just can't seem to let go of the stress. I'd also like to find something I can have on hand during times of high stress in future to help me cope and manage the stress better.

Things I've looked into are:

Phosphatidyl Serine (non essential amino acid that should reduce cortisol level)
Magnolia Bark (supposed to help reduce cortisol level)
Holy Basil Leaf
Ashwaganda
L-theanine (non essential amino acid supposed to support alpha waves)
Rhodiola
Xiao Yao Wan (also known as free and easy wanderer)
Tulsi Brahmi tea (also known as Gotu Kola)
Stress Care by Himalaya Herbal Healthcare (a combination of herbs including Ashwaganda)

I'm really curious about Phosphatidyl Serine as some have claimed it helps with memory and my memory gets so bad when I'm stressed that I have trouble with basic vocabulary. Also read that you burn through it too quickly when you are stressed.

All the others have some really good reviews too.

I'm just not sure where to start as obviously I'm not going to buy all those things to give everything a try. I'm after 1) something that can help me relax and go to sleep - its okay if it makes me drowsy; and 2) something I can carry in my bag as stress rescue which won't make me drowsy.

So, if anyone has experience with any of these, good or bad, that's what I'm really here to find out. Thanks!
