I was "sick" on Thursday so I didn't work. Went to my NAMI class on Thursday and it was enjoyable. I highly recommend that anyone living with a family member with mental illness should attend the NAMI Family-to-Family classes. They're great. If you want more info, just let me know. Went to visit Tiff at the hospital last night - she's doing good on the surface, but I really don't see any substantive changes in her thinking. It's too soon yet, I'm sure. Haven't posted in a while.  Last week was another teenage meltdown that almost did me in.  I really don't want to talk about it, but I will say that once again I learned from the experience and we made it through another crisis.  I love my daughter dearly and I just wish she could see into my heart.  I know she will someday, but I hate that we are ( Read more... )

Haven't posted this week - uber teenager drama.  But I think it's winding down.  Tomorrow I head to Charlotte to train a class of social workers on the exciting world of adoption legal statutes!  Yeah!  (ok, maybe not so exciting - but worthy all the same!).  Kat is coming with me because she's bored and wants to see what a mundane day in the life ( Read more... )
