Enjoyable Weekend
I was "sick" on Thursday so I didn't work. Went to my NAMI class on Thursday and it was enjoyable. I highly recommend that anyone living with a family member with mental illness should attend the NAMI Family-to-Family classes. They're great. If you want more info, just let me know. On Friday Tiffany had some appointments and then I took her back to the farm. She was perfectly fine until she realized she can't have a new cell phone NOW. It amazes me how quickly she goes from happy, settled young adult to petulant pain in the ass 2 year old when she doesn't get her way. Sigh. Welcome to the real world, sweetheart...
Friday evening I was supposed to have a date with Michael. He called early in the day and then NEVER CALLED BACK. I was pretty upset but called another guy (John) I'm dating who told me it was his loss and he must be an idiot if he stood ME up. Yeah! Anyway, he finally called about 8:30 and said he'd been in the emergency room after having chest pains. So I guess I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. We're supposed to go to dinner on Wednesday, so I'll give him that one last chance. Have another date next Sunday with a fireman also named John who's really cute and funny. Then Jeff (another cute guy, but not too sure about his situation) called me last night, too. Having fun with the whole dating thing. My daughter says if I'm dating more than one guy I'm a "playa." I don't think so - just having fun!
Got up and went to Crown on Saturday. Angus was supposed to go but he had to work. Bambi wanted to go, but then she wasn't feeling well. So I went up alone - but still had a lot of fun! Spent most of my time with sunniva_kyrre (who I love) and also enjoyed francesca_la , baronessadriana , and Lady Dar. Made some new friends which I always love to do. Had dinner with psalite (I think we'd be best buddies if we lived closer!), ladyhelwynn , cassandra , and middleaston and mysticsablewolf really outdid herself with the feast. I think it was her best ever. I was going to stay for bardic, but got really sleepy so I decided to head home.
On Sunday I was having tummy issues so I stayed home all day and vegged. I'm at work today feeling much better. Tonight I'm going to the Cowboy Church with my daughter, then over to kat_romanish and fiberferret 's for girls' only sleepover! If you want to come by, feel free! I plan to eat, drink and be merry!
As for right now, it looks like our adoption story is going to air on NBC on Thursday on the Today Show. If you know anyone interested in adoption, please tell them about it!
