The move is now over, at least in terms of trasporting stuff to the new apartment. I have everything there except for cleaning related items, because I have to go back to the old place later to vacuum it and scrub the floors and scrub everything else too. It's been almost two weeks since I last wrote here. Ehh. Time passes so quickly! On Sunday the 16th I and arvoitus visited Ikea and I bought some stuff for the new apartment, like a TV bench, a stand lamp with a paper shade and all kinds of small random things that we noticed I might need. I signed the rental contract on Wednesday and received the keys to the new apartment. I visited the place yesterday with mum, took some measures of the room and am feeling very good about the moving thing right now. The apartment wasn't so small after all. I may be going to move out of here soon! Mum noticed an ad this week about an apartment being rented out on a web page for doctors and she called the contact person immediately. Apparently the apartment is owned by the person's sister who lives in England. The last tenant just moved out and the place is free immediately. I went to see it today. The ( Read more... )

Last 7 days have been pretty nice. Jutta was here, we shopped for Christmas presents for her family and when I got home I fell on my bed with a headache and slept for two hours. Last week was pretty horrible at work. People were on holiday or sick leave and everyone got more calls than usual. We were near insanely busy every day, but at least the time went by quickly! Also, I had the 7 am shift which meant getting up at 5 am every morning. Lovely.
