Yay - a slow day at work. this is after 2 and half days of almost flat out. Monday I actually took lunch and there was a lull in the afternoon for about 15 mintutes. Tuesday was flat out, eating lunch while inputting a large pay and yesterday was busy up until 1. Today has been quiet since 10:30. I suspect tomorrow will be the same, because we have actually finished all the T4s we can (waiting on backwork on others),but there are only 5 clients left any way.
I had expected such so brought the knitting and the embroidery with me. I am still not finished my personal sock-o--the-month for me and there are a very simple pair. I should have no problem getting them done by the end of the month though, only a couple of hours left on them. The embroidery is a part of a project for Seagirt. All split stitch and is going a whole lot slower than I expected. I spent much of December knitting Christmas ornaments and not wotking on the project, so totally my fault it is not done. I was hoping to be done already, but I find it hard to do it for long periods of time. Here at work the light is fairly good, but I am under a bulkhead so I find it straining on the eyes after a bit. I fished out my ott-lite and put it by the couch and that seems to be helping at home. But I am also noticing how hard it can be focusing from the work to say the time display on the VCR. May be time to find an eye doctor. Oh, yeah, need dentist too really.
Louisbourg packages arrived the other day and I haven't even opened them. Maybe the weekend needs to be spent setting up the sewing room, or starting to at least. P wanted to paint that room next, but no prep work done yet, and the current sewing space is a wreck. I would really love to finish the socks and the embroidery 1st before starting the clothing. 2 unhemmed skirts and one jacket, I should check and see if I wrote in my journal last year what my start and stop times were. This one is a little smaller. And there will always be other socks to knit. February starts on Monday afterall.
Edit: Last year's contract was started on Feb 9 and finished April 20. The were 2 skirts, 2 sleevelss jackets and 2 manteau-de-lit and a house move in the middle of it all. I feel better about getting this year's done before the end of March.
