We are very blessed that we get to visit home at least twice a year. Barely 3 years since we left, each visit feels different and new. This only goes to show how rapid Singapore is evolving. Following our NYC trip, I was on the plane again and this time it brought me to Edmonton, Alberta to visit a dear family. I found out by chance that it is Winter Solstice today as I was chatting with a friend. I used to celebrate it with my family as a young child but in the recent years we hardly do it. When I was in Disneyland 3 years ago, i decided that it is the happiest place on earth. For Christmas this year my dear cousin invited us to join her and partner on a road trip to Death Valley, an out-the-world, overpowering and staggering paradise, at least to me. The day started out with a date with my mum at a fish spa. I had an inkling that she might enjoyed it and I was right :) We've even planned for another session before I leave.
