so i'm watching the world cup game between usa and ghana.  i must admit, i'm a little caught up in the hype, but i guess that's only natural.

is it interesting at all that all the ref and all the linesmen are from hungary?  (the other official is from new zealand.)  i thought that they were supposed to be dispersed from a lot of countries to keep it ( Read more... )

haha so going into the conference finals, from the west will be seeds 1 (SJ sharks) and 2 (chicago blackhawks) and from the east will be seeds 7 (philadelphia flyers) and 8 (montreal canadiens).  that just slightly amuses me.

so another hockey update.  poor sharks lost out 7-1, with 5 of those points scored in the 1st period alone.  ouchh.  i think i have a jinx where if i watch the beginning of a game i support on tv, they more than likely end up losing.  D:  it's horrible i know.  i was hoping that it'd be ok this year, but i guess not.  i finished watching those ( Read more... )

so, i know i'm a fan of the sharks, have been always will be since i was born and raised in (or around) san jose, but i used to respect the other fanbases too.  i like knowing that people can be understanding of losses.  that being said, i'm steadily losing my sympathy with the detroit fans.

( i'll spare the non-hockey readers from my long ramblings. this is just a product of my vented frustration on those people. )

they won they won they won!  i was so freaked out, because i didn't even know when the game started (i was confused by the time zones and such) and when i tuned in it was already 3rd period 3-1 wings.  and then two more goals (by thornton and then couture) and then the final overtime kill with marleau's goal.  final score 4-3.  AWESOME.  plus it's ( Read more... )
