world cup update: in case you weren't watching
so the 2010 world cup is finally over and spain has emerged victorious! 1-0 over the netherlands, just like oh, their last six games. hahah.
netherlands played pretty dirty today... alonso got kicked in the freaking chest with CLEATS. ouch. not to mention shoved and tripped all over the place. poor guy. this was more or less happening to most of the spanish players to a maybe lesser degree (esp for the chest kick), but it's not as if spain didn't have abundant fouls as well. gosh all the space on the back of yellow card where they write names must be full.
well anyway, congrats to spain. it's their first time winning the world cup after all, to add on top of their being european champions. the announcers say this should be a big step in reconciliatory measures for the whole country. :D
