When I update from my Mac (like I am now) I use the Xjournal client. It's decent in that it supports many of LJ's features but it lacks the nifty little extras that Semagic has on the Windows platform. Back in 2004, Marvel comics released a 3rd Alpha Flight comic that, though I thuroughly enjoyed it, was cancelled due to poor sales.  I was sad.

I just polished off "Preludes & Nocturnes", the first book in the Sandman library.  I haven't read Sandman before, but I do have a healthy admiration for Gaiman's work ("American Gods", "Good Omens", and "Neverwhere").  "Preludes & Nocturnes", by Gaiman's own admission, isn't the strongest book in the series but definitely good and serves as a ( Read more... )

The opening cinematic for Mark of Chaos is amazing in many of the same ways that the opening cinematic for Dawn of War is.  The CG is as close to photo realistic as I've seen and the direction is spot on.  Worth the price of admission if only for the awesome Bloodthirster at the end.
