The opening cinematic for
Mark of Chaos is amazing in many of the same ways that the opening cinematic for Dawn of War is. The CG is as close to photo realistic as I've seen and the direction is spot on. Worth the price of admission if only for the awesome Bloodthirster at the end.
I finally got around to watching
V for Vendetta last night. I'd forgotten how much I love that story and I was not the least bit dissapointed with the movie adaptation. Hugo Weaving was the perfect choice for V and Natalie Portman's acting in the "goddess in the rain" scene actually brought tears to my eyes. I can't gush over this movie enough. It is a must see.
I've just added Astonishing X-Men #15 and New Avengers #20 to my digital to-read pile. On top of that I see that the 6th Exalted book, "
The Carnelian Flame" is out (and downloaded). I'm still working my way through the Exalted core hard cover, but I love what I've encountered so far (aside from the cheap fucking book-binding that is already falling apart).
An unrelated topic - it was my friend Kevin's birthday yesterday. Kevin's a cool customer despite his genetic disadvantage (damn gingers). He's also been great at cheering me up over the past few weeks. So happy birthday to Kevin.
