Robert's Lost Boys

JV and I are getting pretty crazy looking for the production design requirements for my good mate Rob's thesis, "The Lost Boys of Kampuchea". His thesis is about the boys of Cambodia who were trained since they were little to serve the Khmer Rouge. He feels very strongly about Cambodia and its recent history, so he wants to bring it to life in his thesis. I am his producer, but I am also helping JV out, who is the production designer.
We have been researching the costumes of that time period, as well as the Khmer Rouge outfits. We found some soldier uniforms at the props room, and just had to add red scarves to complete the Khmer Rouge look. For the guns, we found an airgun club that people who make war films go to for their fake gun needs. Well, I guess they're not really fake guns, but you get my drift.
Another problem is the location. Originally we thought it wouldn't be a problem, but came to realize that there aren't a lot of really open spaces with no civilization close by, until we resorted to the location where Sher shot her 301 project. We scouted and found it to be adequate, and Rob approved the location.
