The days become more and more painful to bear. I am leaving Cebu to go back to Manila soon, so I am maximizing my time with my great friends here. Things that have been going on recently:
We bought two freshly-killed cow skulls at the market, for JV's thesis. It has been crazy trying to dry it up in time for the shoot. We left it out at Patrick's terrace but after a couple of days it smelled really bad and it had maggots. We ended up burying them. Sorry, JV.

We shot Rob's thesis during the past two days. It's actually been quite a fun experience. It did have its moments of tension, but Rob keeps calm and carries on, so the cast and crew follow his example. His thesis is about the boys of Cambodia who were trained since they were little to serve the Khmer Rouge. I dropped by the One Visayas Expo at the Cebu International Convenion Center to view Tita Bambi's paintings on exhibit. She
uses themes of womanhood and feminine empowerment, and it emanates through her. She does look very much empowered, that's why it's so interesting to have her play such a fragile character in my thesis.
