it's a fun thing to do
L and I went for an early dinner at the bar and now I'm just sort of tipsy and watching the red carpet interviews. I enjoy the clothes but the inanity of the interviews mostly makes me cringe. Though it's good to see Robin Roberts looking so healthy, and I love Kristin Chenowith, though I feel bad for some of the things they obvious require her to do.
I might liveblog the show here, if enough interesting things happen? but I'll just put it under a cut if I do. Meanwhile, I'll go back to reblogging pics from the red carpet.
I'm not loving Seth Macfarlane but Shatner is amusing and the dancing was nice.

The Bond tribute was pretty unimaginative, but then SHIRLEY BASSEY SINGING GOLDFINGER. \o/
As terrible as the host is, some of these musical cues are perfect.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jennifer Hudson were awesome.
Okay, the Sound of Music joke wasn't as bad as everything else. And it intro'd Christopher Plummer.
Wow, the orchestra is swallowing Adele's voice on the chorus. Or the mix is muddy anyway.

Also, I didn't realize that the song Scarlett Johansson was nommed for was all about glaciers. There should totally be a Steve/Natasha vid to that. Or an AU where she's a chanteuse and he's a GI. OR SOMETHING.
