Every year, on the first weekend in December, a bunch of friends from work spend the weekend at the same rented cottage in Northumberland.  I love this cottage, its comfy sofa, fantabulous views from the windows, and proper log fire. OMG just over an hour ago I was still in a tin box flying through the skies.

Now though, in less than an hour, I have fallen in love with a city. I am trying so hard to contain my excitement...

San Francisco - I ♥ you. I know we have only just got here but be gentle with my heart when we leave.

I had a dream last night that I had one hour to catch a flight and I had nothing ready... I had no passport, no luggage, and no clothes to even attempt to pack. Oops. Of course, I have all three, plus my USA visa waiver approval and all that jazz, but today I made a start on making sure I had everything I needed.
